MLB Home Run Prop Bet Odds & Picks
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Shohei Ohtani (+255), Freddie Freeman (+600) & Teoscar Hernandez (+450)
Brady Singer had been one of the biggest surprises in the MLB for the first two months of the season. Through May, Singer was 4-2 with a 2.60 ERA and only allowed two earned runs in a start twice.
But in two starts in June, he has faced two of the better-hitting lineups in the league (the Guardians and Yankees) and is 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA. It doesnât get much easier today against the Dodgers, who have the fourth-most HRs (65), third-highest ISO (.180) and third-highest SLG% against right-handed pitchers.
Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernandez are the top three hitters regarding HRs and ISO against right-handed pitchers. All three have an ISO over .200, with Ohtani leading the way at .343.
Left-handed hitters typically succeed more against Singer, as six of the eight home runs he has allowed have been to lefties.
Lefties have a .357 wOBA against the Royalsâ right-hander, the fourth-highest among todayâs starters. Another alarming stat is that lefties have an average exit velocity of 95.1 MPH, the third-highest among todayâs starters, trailing only Ben Joyce (Angels) and Daulton Jefferies (Pirates). So when batters make contact with the ball, they take full advantage!
The Dodgers typically enjoy home-cooking, ranking third in runs scored, third in HRs, third in OBP and 10th in average at home. After averaging a measly 2.25 runs per game over their last four, I expect a big offensive output for the Dodgersâ lineup this afternoon.
Heliot Ramos (+480)
Since being called up, Heliot Ramos has played in 34 games, is batting .325 and has already tied Matt Chapman and Thairo Estrada for the team lead in home runs.
It looks like the Angels will play a bullpen game, which is good news for Ramos and the rest of the Giantsâ lineup. Angelsâ relievers have allowed the fourth-most HRs (34) and the second-highest HR/9 (1.27). They also have the second-highest ERA (5.19).
