MLB Home Run Prop Bet Odds & Picks: Tuesday (4/1)

Torpedo bats have completely consumed the baseball media cycle. Is there any way we can profit from it? Well, probably not tonight, as the Yankees square off against Corbin Burnes in the Bronx, and that's a matchup I do not love for them.

However, I have four home run prop bets elsewhere in the MLB. Here are my four favorite MLB home run props for Tuesday, April 1st.

Tuesday’s Best MLB Home Run Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Corbin Carroll (+600

While I don't like any Yankees to go deep tonight, I do have Corbin Carroll locked in to hit a bomb at +600 odds. This interleague tilt features a pitching matchup between Corbin Burnes and Will Warren. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET from Yankee Stadium in The Bronx, NY.

This feels like excellent value to back Carroll at the hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium. The left-handed star hit 14 of his 22 home runs against right-handers last season, and Warren is a rightie. This season, he's hitting .333 with a .956 OPS against right-handed pitchers. He hasn't gone deep yet, but this is a great matchup against the New York pitcher. Warren has only 22.2 innings of MLB experience, but he owns a 1.99 HR/9 rate and 17.2% HR/FB rate. His flyball percentage was an elevated 42% last season. Carroll's primed to park one in the right field bleachers tonight.

Willy Adames (+425) & Wilmer Flores (+950

Let's head down to H-Town, where the Astros are looking to rebound after dropping a 7-2 series-opening game to the Giants last night. Hayden Wesneski makes his Houston debut, while San Francisco's rotation rolls over, giving Logan Webb his second start of the year. First pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. ET from Daikin Park in Houston, TX.

Wesneski logged the fifth-highest HR/9 rate last year at 1.60, among today’s starting pitchers. I'm interested to see if Houston's elite coaching staff can develop and refine the right-hander, but at the same time, I'm still looking to fade him until he proves he's a viable hurler at the MLB level.

I'll take two shots against Wesneski tonight, locking in both Willy Adames and Wilmer Flores. Flores has been on a tear to start the season, launching three bombs in his first four games. He hit one in yesterday's 7-2 win. As for Adames, he's coming off a 32-home run season with the Brewers, but hasn't hit one yet with San Francisco.

Both of these batters have hit Wesneski well in the past. Flores is 2-for-4 (.500) against him with a home run, while Adames is 2-for-5 (.400) with a tank. Also, I'm not sure if the dome will be open or closed yet, but it is worth noting that the wind will be blowing straight out to center at 14 miles per hour (MPH) around game time. I'll sprinkle on each of these Giants to leave the yard.

Manny Machado (+400)

Let's wrap things up out west, where the Padres are looking to improve to 6-0 on the season. They'll turn to Michael King to try and get them there, while the Guardians opt for Logan Allen. This interleague matchup is set for 9:40 p.m. ET from Petco Park in San Diego, CA.

Manny Machado hasn't blasted a homer yet this season, but I believe tonight could be the night he gets off the schneid. The superstar third baseman is off to a solid start, hitting .333 with a .868 OPS.

Machado will be looking to exit the park against Cleveland's Allen, who posted an ugly 5.73 ERA and 1.58 WHIP last season. The left-hander pitched 97.1 innings with the Guardians last year, and his 2.03 HR/9 rate is the highest among his fellow starters across the league today. One of the 38 tanks Allen has conceded in his career came off the bat of Machado, who is 1-for-2 (.500) against him.
