Shohei Ohtani (+240

The Dodgers got back in the win column this past night, taking care of the Twins in a 4-2 road affair. The interleague series continues tonight, and we have a pitching matchup between Tyler Glasnow and Louie Varland. First pitch is scheduled for 7:40 p.m. ET from Target Field in Minneapolis, MN.

Shohei Ohtani had a big night in last night's series-opening win, going 3-5 (.600) with a home run and a pair of doubles. The superstar has already jacked three bombs this season, which makes 10th in the MLB. He's also hitting .345 (21st) with a 1.056 OPS (16th), so safe to say he's off to a solid start to the 2024 campaign. Ohtani is the only Dodger who has ever faced Varland, and he's 1-6 (.167) against him, but the one hit was a home run. Over 10 starts (17 total appearances) for Varland in 2023, he posted an inflated 2.12 HR/9 rate, so he's clearly susceptible to giving up the longball. Let's play Ohtani to go deep for a second straight game.

Christian Walker (+310

The sliding snakes dropped their fifth consecutive game last night, losing 7-5 to the Rockies in the opening game of their series. Merrill Kelly heads to the bump for Arizona tonight, while Colorado opts for Cal Quantrill. First pitch is set for 8:40 p.m. ET from Coors Field in Denver, CO.

This will be the exact same pitching matchup that we had in Phoenix on March 29, and it was Arizona who won that game 7-3. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Christian Walker each blasted first-inning home runs off of Quantrill. The right-handed hurler comes into this game at 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP. He's struggled against Arizona's current roster, as they're slashing .299/.341/.584 against him over 77 at-bats. Walker has excelled, hitting .417 (5-12) against him with two tanks and two doubles. That equates to a 1.500 OPS! Let's lock in Walker to collect his fourth bomb at the hitter-friendly Coors Field.

Dansby Swanson (+600

The night concludes out west as the Padres host the Cubs for the second game of their three-game set. San Diego won a 9-8 barnburner Monday night. Ben Brown gets the nod for Chicago in the second game, while San Diego opts for Joe Musgrove. First pitch is scheduled for 10:05 p.m. ET from Petco Park in San Diego, California.

Dansby Swanson has found some power through the early part of the season, where he's launched a pair of home runs. He's up to a .990 OPS, which is 22nd in the MLB. Swanson's not typically a huge home run threat, but I think this is a great matchup against Musgrove. The right-hander will already be making his fourth start of the season, and he's 1-1 with a 6.28 ERA and 1.67 WHIP. As for the head-to-head numbers against Chicago, they're slashing .246/.364/.585 against him. Swanson's 4-11 (.364) with two big flies and a pair of doubles. Let's sprinkle on Swanson to register his third homer of the year.
