MLB Home Run Prop Bet Odds & Picks: Wednesday (Dodgers vs. Padres)

Wednesday, March 20, starts meaningful baseball once again. The Shohei Ohtani Era in Dodger Blue begins.

The Dodgers and Padres will open their season with a two-game series in Seoul, South Korea, while the rest of the teams begin on Thursday, March 28. Set your alarm clocks because these games will start at 6:05 a.m. ET.

There is no better way to start your day than by drinking coffee and sweating some HR Props. So, without further ado, here are our first HR Props of the 2024 season.

Shohei Ohtani (+230)

Of course, we are playing Ohtani’s HR Prop; how could we not? This guy lives for these kinds of moments. With a HR in his Spring Training debut, what makes you think he won’t go yard in his regular-season debut? Plus, this may be one of the lowest prices we see for his prop all season. Let’s take advantage.

Freddie Freeman (+450)

Freddie Freeman has picked up right where he left off last season. He has been smashing the ball all spring, leading the Dodgers in HR and RBI.

The Dodgers first baseman has had success in his career against Padres starter Yu Darvish. In 31 at-bats, Freeman is hitting .290 with three home runs with a team-high.645 SLG%.

Teoscar Hernandez (+375)

The Dodgers acquiring Teoscar Hernandez is a move that many swept under the rug. But this is a very sneaky move, giving the Dodgers additional power in the second half of this lineup.

After batting in the middle of the lineup with Seattle last year, Hernandez may find himself in the six or seven-hole and should see many opportunities to do some damage. Opposing pitchers will have to work extremely hard to fight through the top half of that order (Mookie Betts, Ohtani, Freeman, Will Smith and Max Muncy), and they may be fatigued by the time they get to Hernandez.

Let’s see if we can get lucky with another Dodger making his team debut.
