MLB Moneyline, Over/Under, Run Line Odds & Matchups for Thursday (4/21)
Weâve compiled odds from all of the major US sportsbooks to provide you a range of odds, as well as our consensus odds for todayâs slate of MLB action. You can find moneyline, over/under, and run line odds along with each MLB matchup of the day.
What is Betting the Run Line?
The run line is a set of odds bookmakers use to balance out MLB betting action by âhandicappingâ the favorite while boosting the underdog. The standard run line is 1.5, which means that bettors can choose to bet on the underdog +1.5, or the favorite -1.5. The odds on these wagers are quite different from the straight moneyline odds, with the moneyline underdog turning into the run line favorite.
What is an Over/Under Bet?
Over/Under is a wager based on how many points you think will be scored in a specific game. Oddsmakers set the total, and bettors decide whether the final score will be higher or lower than that number. If an Over/Under is set at 8.5 runs and you bet Over, you will need the combined score of both teams to be 9 runs or higher to win your bet.
What is a Moneyline Bet?
A moneyline bet involves choosing which team you believe will win a specific matchup. The moneyline favorite carries a minus designation, like -130. This means that you need to wager $130 to earn a $100 profit. Conversely, the underdog carries a plus designation, like +110. This means that you win $110 in profit on a $100 bet.
