(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Toronto Blue Jays (+170) at Boston Red Sox (-205) | O/U 8.0 (-105/-115)

This matchup features a couple of players who just took home a large payday.

The Red Sox went all in on Garrett Crochet with a six-year, $170 million contract extension. After how he's been pitching to start the season, you understand why they locked him in. He makes his Fenway Park debut as he's been on the road in his first two starts, the last one against Baltimore. He was untouchable in Camden Yards, going eight shutout innings and striking out eight. Crochet’s pitches look great, and his pitching run value is in the 97th percentile.

After a brutal start to the season, Boston’s offense has gotten much better. It's helped them come into the game with a five-game winning streak. They have scored 31 runs in the last three games. The catalyst could be Rafael Devers, who started the season 0-for-19, but has been on a tear lately, going 10-for-22 in his last six games.

Who knows if the Blue Jays will ever be a competitor in a tough American League East, but they want Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to be a part of it. He was headed for free agency at the end of the year, but the organization did not let him get there, as they signed him to a 14-year, $500 million contract. Now that they have their franchise player, let's see if they build around him.

Easton Lucas' first MLB start couldn't have gone any better. He pitched five scoreless innings and allowed one hit. However, that was against the Nationals. This will be a much tougher lineup.

The Boston bats should be all over the young hurler, and Crochet should continue his dominance.

Pick: Red Sox -1.5 (+105)

Philadelphia Phillies (-105) at Atlanta Braves (-115) | O/U 7.0 (-105/-115)

The Phillies are looking great to start the year and are coming off taking two out of three games against the reigning champion Dodgers. It's challenging to find a weakness on this team; they are in the top seven in batting average (seventh), on-base percentage (second), slugging rate (seventh), OPS (third) and ERA (seventh).

Zack Wheeler is coming off one of his best seasons with a career-high 16 wins and a career-low 2.57 ERA, but it wasn't enough as he finished second in National League Cy Young voting.

On the other side is the pitcher who beat him for that Cy Young. The surface numbers don't look great for Chris Sale, who has a 5.40 ERA, but he's still pitching very well. He's disguising his pitches and getting hitters at a 41.3% chase rate. His expected ERA is 2.29, meaning he's just catching some bad luck.

It also doesn't help that Atlanta’s offense has been non-existent since the start of the year. This has been one of the best power-hitting teams in recent years, but they are currently 29th in slugging rate (.297). Without that power, they are a league-worse 1-8.

It’s always great to watch two of the best pitchers in a head-to-head matchup. We might see a low-scoring game.

Pick: Under 7.0 Runs (-115)
