Mondayâs Best Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Tarik Skubal Under 1.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-120)
The Tigers made it to the playoffs after an unlikely run in the second half. What helped was having the best pitching staff with a 3.13 ERA. Everyone is available for Detroit, as A.J. Hinch will change the lineup game by game depending on the best matchup and use as many pitchers as he needs to win.
They won't do that early in this game, as they'll have their ace and American League Cy Young frontrunner Tarik Skubal on the mound. He set the tone for the Tigers with a dominant Game 1 performance against the Astros.
He only saw the Guardians once this year and went seven innings, allowing one earned. Heâs already shut down a top lineup on the road during the playoffs, and on normal rest, he can do it again.
Matthew Boyd Under 12.5 Outs Recorded (-140)
On the other side, we've got the revenge aspect for Matthew Boyd, as he spent eight of his 11 seasons in Detroit. He made his 2024 debut in September after missing over a year rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. This was a big return because he can be viable in this postseason rotation.
With how the Guardians handled their pitching with ace Tanner Bibee going 4.2 innings, donât expect someone whoâs only pitched 39 innings to go longer than four in a playoff game.
Juan Soto Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (-115)
The Yankees won an exciting Game 1 and are looking to grab a 2-0 lead heading to Kansas City. Their offense did everything they've been able to accomplish this season. They used their power with a couple of home runs, worked counts, got free bases and earned eight walks and two with the bases loaded.
Juan Soto was part of that offense in Game 1, going 3-for-5. He was the only one who had success against Cole Ragans in the regular season, going deep for a home run and two RBI. He's been able to show up in the playoffs previously with Washington, and we should see that again.
