MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (4/28)

The weather is getting warmer, and we're fully into the MLB season. Let's begin Friday by looking at some players that can impact tonight's games.

Friday's Best MLB Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings)

Framber Valdez OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (+105)

This weekend we have the rematch of the most recent World Series. For the Astros, there were changes in the offseason. For instance, Justin Verlander has moved on, and they added slugger Jose Abreu to the lineup.

It's tough to lose the reigning Cy Young winner, but it doesn't hurt to have guys like Framber Valdez. He was lights out in the World Series, going 2-0 with a 1.46 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 12.1 innings.

Pablo Lopez OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (+125)

Pablo Lopez is coming off the worse start of the season, but he has pitched at least five innings and allowed two or fewer runs in three of four starts this season.

He already has a start against the Royals this year and went 5.1 shutout innings, allowed two hits, and struck out eight. That's a 37.5% strikeout ratio against the lineup that has the sixth highest this year.

Amed Rosario OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+125)

The start of the  Guardians season is not going well for the reigning AL Central champs. This is not a power lineup, but they have a group of guys that hit for contact. This year the offense is off to a terrible start as they're 19th in on-base percentage, 23rd in average, and also BABIP.

They have a chance to be successful this weekend against the Red Sox, who are 25th in hits allowed and  27th in ERA.

Nick Pivetta has one bad start this year but has allowed three or fewer runs in this three of four starts.  However, this Guardians roster does have some history of success against him. This includes Rosario, whose batting lifetime .333 and just a 14.2% whiff rate.
