MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (6/30)

We’re almost in July! The baseball season has been flying by this year! As the weather gets hotter, the balls will fly out of the yard more.

Here are three player props to consider for the final day of June.

Friday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Nick Castellanos Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

Josiah Gray will take the mound for the Washington Nationals tonight. He’s had his struggles against righties throughout the season. In the last 30 days, Gray has allowed a .292 ISO and wOBA of .387 to his previous 73 righties.

He’s rarely getting ground balls and giving up over 26% of fly balls to those righties.

Meanwhile, Nick Castellanos is a powerful righty who has hit righties well in the last month. He’s smacked a .211 ISO and wOBA of .379 against his last 77 righties faced. He’s even hit a 54.7% hard hit percentage with over 35% of line drives and fly balls against righties in the previous month.

I’ll take him to get at least two total bases tonight.

Jack Suwinski Over 0.5 Total Bases (-135)

Jack Suwinski has a .326 ISO and wOBA of .364 against his last 59 righties. He’s hit just 14.3% of grounders in that time and has smacked over 51% of fly balls and line drives against righties too. He’s even hit a 71.4% hard-hit percentage against righties in the last month.

He’ll face Brewers righty, Freddy Peralta, tonight. Peralta has allowed a .222 ISO and wOBA of .339 to his last 62 lefties. He’s not getting a high strikeout percentage against lefties and has given up 15% more fly balls than ground balls induced against lefties in the last 30 days.

Suwinski needs one base hit. He’ll have at least four chances to do that.

LaMonte Wade Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)

LaMonte Wade should be in the lead-off spot for the Giants tonight. He’ll take on New York’s starter, Carlos Carrasco.

Carrasco has allowed a .290 ISO and wOBA of .418 to his last 105 batters. To lefties, he’s allowed a .209 ISO and wOBA of .393. He’s been miserable against both sides of the plate.

Meanwhile, Wade has hit a .213 ISO and wOBA of .405 against his last 73 righties. He’s struck out 16.4% of the time against righties and has hit 60% of hard contact.

In the last 30 days, Carrasco is giving up 30.6% of line drives to lefties and over 69% of hard contact. He’s rarely getting swings and misses or whiffs against lefties, either.

On top of that, Carrasco tends to blow up in the first inning. Wade would lead things off and could hit this bet on the first couple of pitches in the game.

Joc Pederson is also another option against Carrasco. He’s a lefty doing damage against righties too. Ultimately, any power slugger on the Giants has the potential to hit at least two total bases against Carrasco.
