MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (6/9)

Let’s get the weekend started with some profit!

There are plenty of new matchups to look at tonight. So let’s get right to it and find some good spots to increase our bankroll for the remainder of the weekend.

Friday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Yandy Diaz Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

Yandy Diaz should be in the lead-off spot tonight for the Rays. He’s hit a .351 ISO and wOBA of .367 against his last 43 lefties. In those 43 plate appearances, he’s also hit 32.3% of line drives and 77.4% of hard contact.

He’ll take on left-hander Andrew Heaney, who has allowed righties to hit a .200 ISO and wOBA of .339 over the entire season.

Diaz will at least have four at-bats but will likely have five, with the Rays hitting a .302 ISO and wOBA of .422 against lefties using their projected lineup over the last month.

Michael Massey Over 0.5 Hits (-165)

The Royals will face Tyler Wells, who has allowed a .196 ISO and wOBA of .315 against his last 49 lefties faced. Wells isn’t getting a lot of grounders and has allowed nearly 31% of line drives against lefties over the previous month.

Michael Massey is the lone lefty doing legitimate damage against righties in the Royals lineup. Massey has hit a .265 ISO and wOBA of .391 against his last 54 righties this year. He’s also hit 35.1% of fly balls, 35.1% of line drives and has hit the ball hard 70.3% of the time when making contact.

Massey should be able to earn at least one base hit tonight, even if batting seventh.

Bryce Harper Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)

Bryce Harper has hit a .176 ISO and wOBA of .433 against his last 61 righties. The lefty has struck out under 20% of the time against righties in the previous month and has hit 23.1% of line drives while also hitting 53.8% of fly balls when putting the ball in play.

He’ll face Michael Grove, who has struggled against lefties. He hasn’t pitched much over the last month, but over the season, he’s allowed 45 lefties to hit a .308 ISO and wOBA of .495.

Since returning to the mound, Grove has only faced four lefties. Those four lefties have a 1.500 ISO and wOBA of 1.272. He’s allowed 25% of line drives to lefties throughout the season and is giving up 43.8% of hard contact. Grove also isn’t getting many whiffs and allowing a 12.5% barrel percentage. If anyone can barrel the baseball, it’s Bryce Harper.

So let’s add Harper’s total bases to our betting portfolio tonight!
