MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (9/15)

We’ve got a full 15-game slate, with no games in the afternoon. That allows us to look through many props and find the best value on the slate.

Let’s get right to it! Here are three player props to consider for tonight!

Friday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Matt Olson Over 1.5 Total Bases (-120)

Matt Olson has slugged a .400 ISO and wOBA of .494 against his last 81 right-handed pitchers. He’s only struck out 16% of the time and has hit nearly 37% of fly balls and line drives against righties over the last month.

He’ll take on Johnny Cueto of the Marlins. The veteran has allowed his last 38 batters to hit a .333 ISO and wOBA of .441. He’s also struck out just 18.4% of batters in the previous 30 days.

Cueto has given up nearly 31% of fly balls and has induced under 39% of ground balls in the last 30 days. He’s also allowed close to 27% of line drive contact.

Olson has destroyed righties. Tonight should be no different.

Isaac Paredes Over 1.5 Total Bases (+145)

We’ve got a lot of value in this bet.

Isaac Paredes has smashed a .262 ISO and wOBA of .382 against his last 73 righties as a right-handed batter. He’s also struck out 15.1% of the time against righties in the previous 30 days. Therefore, he’ll likely put the ball in play when he faces Orioles’ starter, Jack Flaherty.

Flaherty has given up a .292 ISO and wOBA of .460 to his last 25 righties faced. He’s struck out just 20% of batters in the previous month and has allowed over 26% of fly balls. Beyond that, Flaherty has allowed 31.6% of line drives from righties and has given up a 10.5% barrel percentage.

Paredes has hit over 24% of line drives and has smacked over 59% of hard contact against righties. Look for him to earn a couple of base hits or at least one extra-base hit in this game.

Alex Verdugo Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

Jose Berrios will take the mound for the Blue Jays tonight. Berrios has allowed a .300 ISO and wOBA of .364 to his last 64 lefties.

He’s also allowed more fly balls than ground balls induced over the last month against lefties. Berrios has earned 33.3% of grounders but has allowed 35.4% of fly balls. He’s also given up 25% of line drives to lefties in that time.

He’ll take on Alex Verdugo of the Red Sox. Verdugo should bat leadoff for the Red Sox tonight. He’s a lefty who has hit a .225 ISO and wOBA of .373 against his last 84 righties. Verdugo has also struck out just 11.9% of the time against righties in the previous month. Therefore, he’ll likely put the ball in play every time he’s up at the plate.

Back him to earn at least two total bases.
