Xander Bogaerts Over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (-130)
The Padres' expectations are not as high as last year, as they shipped a few players after an unsuccessful 2023 season. No one in the National League West has set themselves apart and the 11-12 Padres are one game behind the Dodgers.
They begin a series against the one team that seems to already be out of contention, the 4-16 Rockies. Austin Gomber hasn't been great, but he hasn't been awful, and he's facing a lineup he's had trouble with throughout his career. Xander Bogaerts might be getting hot with three hits in his last two games. He’s 3-for-9 against Gomber, including a home run.
Ranger Suarez Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-145)
The Phillies have won six straight, but they’ve been against the Rockies and White Sox, the two worst teams in the league. They get a much better matchup tonight against the Reds, who are in the thick of the National League Central race.
Ranger Suarez gets the ball. He is having a fantastic season with a 1.73 ERA and a 28.4 strikeout percentage. Suarez has been very successful against this Reds lineup, with a 31.8 strikeout percentage. The Reds are 26th in that category this season.
Marcell Ozuna Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100)
The Braves have jumped out of the gate, looking like one of the best teams in the league. A lot of that has to do with how well this lineup is doing, as they lead the league in average (.290), SLG (.486) and OPS (.846).
One reason is Marcell Ozuna, who's batting .338 with eight home runs and a league-leading 24 RBI. He only has two at-bats against Ryan Weathers, but one resulted in a double. We should hit this over with how well Ozuna is hitting, along with the supporting cast.
