Monday’s Best MLB Prop Bets

Matt Chapman To Record 2+ Total Bases (-115)

Toronto is playing well by winning six of their last seven as their bats continue to stay hot, scoring five or more runs in five of those games. The Red Sox have been hovering near .500 throughout the season with an offense that has pop, but the pitching has been near the bottom this season.

They brought on Corey Kluber as a veteran presence for this rotation, but he has struggled with a 6.75 ERA and seven home runs allowed. He will see Matt Chapman, who's top two in batting average and OPS. He's also a perfect 5-for-5 with two home runs against Kluber.

Tony Gonsolin To Record 5+ Strikeouts (-120)

The Dodgers have not started the season as dominant as wished but still have a share of first place in the NL West. This team can hit the long ball with the most home runs in the National League, but the pitching as a whole has struggled with a 4.43 ERA. 

Getting Tony Gonsolin back will help as he comes off a breakout season in 2022, going 16-1 with a 2.24 ERA. He's taking on a Phillies lineup whom he has an excellent track record against, with a 45% strikeout percentage. As he gets acclimated back into the rotation, we'll see if he goes longer than his last start of 3.1 innings. That's why we won't go too high on his alternate strikeout prop.

Manny Machado To Record 2+ Total Bases (+110)

The Padres look to be in the thick of the playoffs once again and have played well with the return of Fernando Tatis Jr. With how much they've spent to make this roster better over the last couple of years, their stats are slightly below average, and they have a -13 run differential.

They face the Reds, who might have another losing season but are on a nice run by winning five of their last six. Luke Weaver will take the mound, and it hasn’t been good so far, with a 7.71 ERA and five home runs allowed in 11.2 innings. Manny Machado could be in for a big day as he has seven hits in 18 at-bats, four being for extra bases against Weaver.
