Summer is officially here, and the MLB landscape is heating up. Let’s look at some players that could make an impact tonight.
Monday’s Best MLB Player Prop Bets

Ronald Acuna Jr. OVER 1.5 Total Bases (-110)
The Braves are on a stellar run at the moment, winning nine of their last ten as they begin to build a lead in the National League East. The lineup is proving to be the best in the league, as they are top two in AVG, SLG, OBP, and wOBA.
Ronald Acuna Jr. is having a tremendous season, and most sportsbooks have him favored as the NL MVP. He’s been on a great run lately, with a hit in seven straight and batting .333 in that same stretch. He’s been solid in his brief history against Sonny Gray, going 2-for-7 with a double.
Shohei Ohtani OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+115)
On the other side, Shohei Ohtani is running away with the American League MVP race, and -500 is the best odds you can currently find. He has been crushing the ball lately, with seven home runs and a 1.347 OPS.
This has helped the Angels as they look to finally be in contention for a playoff spot for the first time in years.
The Halos take on the White Sox, and although Ohtani doesn’t have much success off Dylan Cease, he has taken him deep.
Luis Castillo To Record a Win (-130)
Luis Castillo has made good on Seattle’s investment after they traded to get him from the Reds and then signed him to a new deal. Unfortunately, he’s seeing something he dealt with in Cincinnati, and that’s a lack of run support. This has especially been the case recently, with 2.3 runs of support in his last four starts, all of which have been losses. Still, he’s been one of the league’s better swing-and-miss guys, with his whiff rate in the 90th percentile.
I’m not expecting a high strikeout number against Washington, who has the lowest strikeout percentage in the league, but I like him to get the win against one of the National League’s worse teams.
