MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (7/24)

The second half of the season is underway, and now it's crunch time. With the trade deadline just a week away, this is when teams need to figure out if they're buyers or sellers, and these games can determine that.

Monday's Best MLB Player Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Luis Castillo OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-170)

Luis Castillo will see the Twins on back-to-back starts, and the one on July 19th couldn't have gone any better. In that start, he went six innings, allowing three earned and a season-high 11 strikeouts. The 33.3% strikeout rate against this Twins roster shows that he can go over this prop, but Minnesota is also leading the lead in total strikeouts and strikeout rate this season.

William Contreras Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135)

It's been a solid first season for William Contreras with the Brewers. He's nearly duplicated the numbers from last year and has a better hard hit percentage and a lower strikeout percentage. He's been on a hot streak over the last month, batting .359 and .906 over his previous 19 games, and tonight faces Graham Ashcraft, whom he's 4-for-6 against.

Freddie Freeman OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+110)

Freddie Freeman is far behind Ronald Acuna Jr. in the betting odds for National League MVP, but he's putting up incredible offensive numbers this season. He's leading the NL in doubles, OPS, and total bases, with his xwOBA, xSLG, and xBA in the 98th percentile. The total bases prop looks great tonight, with multiple hits in four of his last five games, and he sees Jose Berrios, whom he does have a home run against, in only three at-bats.
