MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (4/16)

It looks like some of the early storylines from this season are beginning to change. The red-hot Rays have now lost 2 straight games after a ridiculous start, and teams like the Mets, Yankees, and Blue Jays are beginning to look like the juggernauts we thought they would be coming into the season. The Pitch clock is still having an effect on the game, as we are seeing more Hits and steals than before. With that being said, let's take a look at some of Sunday's best Prop Bets as we wrap up another week in the MLB.

Alex Bregman o1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

The Astros and Rangers will look to wrap up this series in Houston on Sunday Night Baseball. Each team took a game on Friday and Saturday, and we will have Valdez on the mound for the Astros versus Heaney for the Rangers. Both pitchers are coming off of solid starts, but I expect them to give up some more runs today, especially Heaney, against a stacked Astors lineup. Alex Bergman is on a current seven-game hitting streak with two HR and five RBI in that span. He draws the plus matchup against the Left Handed Heaney and should have plenty of opportunities to hit batting near the top of the order. I expect Bergman to stay locked in today and have a hit and a run scored or RBI early in this game against Heaney. Look for Houston to take this series finale behind the bat of their Superstar, Alex Bregman.

Bet: Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-115 at DraftKings)

Anthony Rizzo Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

Anthony Rizzo's 2023 started somewhat slow, but it seems Rizzo has found his groove. A solo HR on Saturday brings Rizzo to five hits in this series and three HRs against the Twins, and his batting average is now up to .314. Rizzo and the Yankees should stay hot on the offensive side today, as he has a plus matchup against right-hander Pablo Lopez. Lopez has had a strong start to the season in starts against the White Sox, Marlins, and Royals, but he has not faced a lineup like this Yankees team yet. Look for him to give up some runs today. I expect Rizzo to bat in the top four in the order as he’s swinging confidently right now, and look for him to continue to rake on his way to hitting this over once again.

Bet: Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (+115 at DraftKings)

Mike Yastrzemski Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

The Giants had a rough week so far, losing the past two games to the Tigers and four of their last five games. On Sunday, Logan Webb will look to get his first win of the season against left-hander Matthew Boyd for Detroit. The two prior games in the series saw 10+ combined runs for these teams, as pitching is a weakness for both teams, and I don't expect Boyd to complete the sweep for the Tigers. Look for Logan Webb to have his first quality start of the season and for Yastrzemski to pick up the slack on offense while Pederson and Conforto are on the IL.

Bet: Mike Yastrzemski Over 1.5 Hits +Runs + RBI (-110 at DraftKings)
