MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (4/9)

After a handful of games to start the 2023 season, we’re beginning to see some early storylines in the MLB. How long can the Rays stay undefeated? Are the Pirates finally going to compete for a playoff spot behind the red-hot Brian Reynolds? These trends won’t continue all season, but some teams are making their mark early in the season. Let’s take a look at some of Sunday’s best Prop Bets.

Today’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings)

Matt Chapman o1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

The Blue Jays and Angels will look to wrap up the series with a win in Los Angeles on Easter Sunday. Each team took a game on Friday and Saturday, and we will have Kikuchi on the mound for the Jays versus Detmers for the Angels. Both pitchers are coming off of solid starts, but I expect them to give up some more runs today, especially Detmers, against a stacked Blue Jays lineup. Matt Chapman is on a current seven-game hitting streak with 8 RBIs in that span. Expect Chapman to stay locked in today as he draws a nice Righty vs. Lefty matchup and hit this over once again.

Bet: Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110 at DraftKings)

Anthony Rizzo Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

Anthony Rizzo’s 2023 started somewhat slow, despite the Lefty recording a hit in 5/6 games to begin the season. So far, he only has one double and one HR, sporting a .250 average. I expect Rizzo to find his groove soon, beginning today at Baltimore against a right-handed pitcher in Tyler Wells. I can see New York scoring some runs today (they’ve scored 4+ in every game this year), and Rizzo should be a beneficiary of this as he bats in the heart of the Yankees lineup. Don’t be surprised if Rizzo knocks in a run early in this game on his way to hitting this over.

Bet: Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (-105 at DraftKings)

Rafael Devers Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

The Red Sox seem to have figured things out in Detroit, as they have won 2 straight with a combined 20 runs scored against the Tigers. The Sox will look to complete the sweep on Sunday against Right Hander Matthew Boyd. The recent success has been aided by a red-hot Rafael Devers, as he is coming off back-to-back games with 2+ hits and a home run. I don’t see him slowing down today with a plus matchup for the Lefty. Pitching is a weakness for the Tigers, and I don’t expect Boyd or anyone in their bullpen to slow down Devers and the Red Sox today. Take Devers o1.5 today with confidence to stay hot against the lowly Tigers.

Bet: Rafael Devers Over 1.5 Hits +Runs + RBI (-120 at DraftKings)
