The Mariners and Diamondbacks will face off today, with a strong pitching matchup on tap. Luis Castillo will be on the mound for the Mariners, while Merrill Kelly is pitching for the Dbacks. I like the Mariners in this game to bounce back after last night’s loss.
Julio Rodriguez is a guy I'm targeting today. He has a good matchup today with the Righty Kelly and is boasting a strong 7-game hitting streak. I like him to hit the ball hard today and find a base hit against Kelly this afternoon.
Marcus Semien Over 0.5 Singles (+100)
The Rangers and Padres will face off Sunday, with the Padres looking for the series sweep. The Padres have lefty Blake Snell on the mound, while lefty Cody Bradford will throw for the Rangers. This series has been very low scoring for the Rangers (1 run in 2 games). I expect the Rangers to bounce back today, despite Blake Snell having a great season (2.61 ERA)
A bet I like today is Marcus Semien over 0.5 Singles at a good price. He should get plenty of opportunities in the heart of the Rangers’ order with a plus matchup against the lefty Snell. He's 0-7 in this series, and I expect him to make his presence felt today. Take Semien over 0.5 singles at this price.
Joey Votto Over 0.5 Singles (+125)
The Reds and Dodgers will face off today, with the series tied at 1-1. I expect this to be a high-scoring game with two struggling pitchers on the mound. I like the Reds in this game to bounce back after last night’s loss. The pitching matchup features two right-handers, Graham Ashcroft for the Reds and Michael Grove for the Dodgers. Grove has been prone to give up runs (6.19 ERA), and I believe that's exactly what the Reds do today.
The veteran Joey Votto is a guy I'm targeting today. He has a good matchup today with the Righty Grove and is due for a big day after being hitless in this series so far. Take Votto over 0.5 Singles with confidence today against the struggling Michael Grove.
