Texas Rangers vs. Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals will send out Brady Singer for today’s matchup against the Rangers. Singer has struck out nearly 24% of batters this season and has looked much better than his 7.88 ERA.

Singer is holding an xFIP of 3.75 with 21.7% of strikeouts and 4.3% of walks. He’s also induced over 44% of ground balls. He’s just giving up a little bit too much power to begin the year. But the Rangers’ projected lineup is hitting a .156 ISO and wOBA of .292 with 23.9% of strikeouts against righties this season. Singer will face six batters that strike out at a high rate against righties.

Yet, we’re getting Over 5.5 at +120. I’m in.

Bet: Brady Singer Over 5.5 Ks (+120)

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Seattle Mariners

Eric Lauer will get the start for the Brewers tonight. He’s a lefty holding a 5.32 xFIP to begin the year.

Lauer has allowed 52.3% of hard contact when balls are batted into play. He’s also been torched by righties this year, allowing a .396 wOBA and ISO of .288 in 59 plate appearances against them.

Ty France is hitting a .231 ISO and wOBA of .374 against lefties to begin the year. He’s also struck out against lefties just 14.3% of the time and doesn’t have a single walk. There’s a good chance France will put the ball in play. There’s also a good chance it’ll be a ball in the air, as he’s only hit 18.2% of ground balls against lefties.

Lauer has allowed an insane amount of hard contact, and France has put the ball in the air countless times against lefties. It’s a match.

Take Ty France Over 1.5 total bases.

Bet: Ty France Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Houston Astros

It’s been a terrible month for Luis Garcia of the Astros. He’s 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA to begin the year. He’s also holding a 5.22 xFIP after allowing 37.8% of line drives. He’s also induced just 24.4% of ground balls.

Righties have a .372 wOBA and ISO of .314 against Garcia this season.

Bo Bichette is hitting a .240 ISO and wOBA of .443 against righties to begin the year. Bichette has only struck out 15.4% of the time and has walked under 2% of the time. He’s putting the ball in play and hitting extra base hits.

Bichette has hit 42.9% of line drives against righties this year. So I’ll take Bichette to at least hit a line drive in the gap.

Bet: Bo Bichette Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100)
