MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (9/13)

We only have a few more weeks of the MLB regular season!

Contenders are doing whatever they can to make the playoffs. Meanwhile, the pretenders have lineups of players we’ve never heard of. Let’s choose our player props wisely tonight.

Here are three MLB props to consider for Wednesday, Sept. 13:

Wednesday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

CJ Abrams Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110)

Colin Selby will take the hill for the Pirates tonight. He’s a right-handed pitcher who has allowed a .245 ISO and woBA of .359 over his last 30 days on the mound.

Lefties have hit a .300 ISO and wOBA of .415 in their last 22 plate appearances against Selby.

Selby has allowed 91.7% of hard contact to those 22 lefties and has allowed nearly 42% of fly balls. His strikeout rate is high against lefties. However, he’ll face CJ Abrams of the Nationals, who has only struck out 16.7% of the time against righties in the last month.

Abrams has also hit a .343 ISO and wOBA of .423 against his last 72 righties. The left-handed slugger will lead off for the Nationals and has hit over 36% of line drives and fly balls against righties.

He’s in a great spot to earn at least two total bases tonight.

Austin Hays Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110)

Austin Hayes has slugged a .344 ISO and wOBA of .486 against his last 39 lefties. The right-handed batter has also struck out just 15.4% of the time against lefties in the previous month.

He’ll take on Cardinals’ lefty Drew Rom, who has allowed a .240 ISO and wOBA of .418 to his first 85 batters faced in his MLB career. Rom has allowed 32.8% of fly balls to righties and has given up 53.4% of hard contact to righties in the last month.

Meanwhile, Hays has smacked 65.4% of hard contact against lefties in that same time. Back Hays to earn at least two total bases tonight.

William Contreras Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135)

The Brewers will face a left-hander in Braxton Garrett tonight. He’s allowed a .197 ISO and wOBA of .330 to his last 82 righties. The left-hander has also allowed a .188 ISO and wOBA of .332 to 456 batters this season.

Milwaukee has a lot of potential against lefties. In the projected lineup, the Brewers have five players who have hit an ISO of at least .200 and seven who have hit a wOBA of at least .316.

However, one player stands out. That’s William Contreras. Contreras has hit a .292 ISO and wOBA of .546 over the last 30 days against lefties. He’s also struck out just 3.6% of the time and has smacked nearly 35% of line drives and fly balls against lefties in his last 28 at-bats against them.

Let’s take a chance on Contreras to earn at least two total bases in tonight’s game.
