The NL and AL Wild Card races are heating up as we get closer and closer to the MLB Playoffs!

Things are getting exciting, so let’s join in on the fun. I’ve added multiple player props to consider for tonight’s slate of games in the MLB.

Wednesday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Reid Detmers Under 4.5 Ks (-102)

It’ll be Reid Detmers on the mound for the Angels tonight. The left-hander has struck out 25.8% of batters this season. However, he’s only struck out 18.6% of batters in the last month.

Detmers typically dominates righties. He’s struck out 28.2% of them this season. But that number has also dropped to 19.4% against his last 72 righties.

He’ll take on a Rays lineup that has struck out just 15.4% of the time against lefties in the last month. Only Randy Arozarena, Harold Ramirez and Christian Bethancourt have struck out at a higher rate than 15.4%.

Detmers only has three targets to get strikeouts. Those three players all have a wOBA of at least .325 against lefties. Take his Under in this game.

Seiya Suzuki Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)

Mitch Keller will get the start for the Pirates tonight. Keller has allowed a .157 ISO and wOBA of .355 to his last 55 righties faced. He’s also allowed 28.2% of hard contact to righties and has earned only 10.1% of swinging strikes against righties.

He’ll face Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs, who has smacked a .333 ISO and wOBA of .449 against his last 85 righties. Suzuki has struck out only 21.2% of the time against righties in the previous 30 days and has hit 53.3% of hard contact.

Back him to earn at least two total bases tonight.

Willson Contreras Over 1.5 Total Bases (+150)

William Conteras has slugged a .370 ISO and wOBA of .425 over the last month against righties. He hasn’t walked much and has hit 52.5% of hard contact with a 17.5% barrel percentage over the previous month against righties.

Contreras only has a .294 BABIP, despite all of those good numbers. That should change against Adrian Houser tonight.

Houser has allowed a .333 ISO and wOBA of .398 against his last 19 righties. He’s given up 50% of hard contact and has allowed 25% of line drives to righties over the previous month. Houser has also struck out under 20% of batters this season. The right-hander has earned just 6.8% of swinging strikes against righties throughout the entire season.

That means Contreras will likely put the ball in play in almost, if not all, at-bats against Houser.

Let’s take Contreras to earn at least two total bases in tonight’s game.
