MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (9/27)

We’re still waiting on the AL East, AL West, and many Wild Card spots in the AL and NL, but the regular season ends on Sunday!

There are some intense races in the MLB right now!

I’ve got three player props to consider for tonight’s MLB slate.

Remember: while many teams are out of the playoffs, many players try to make teams next season. Nobody’s on the field, not trying.

Except for maybe the Phillies and Brewers, who will likely be hungover after clinching postseason spots last night. We won’t bet on either of those teams.

Wednesday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Tyler Glasnow Over 7.5 Ks (-102)

Tyler Glasnow has struck out 33.1% of batters in the last month. The right-handed ace for the Rays has also held teams to a .130 ISO and wOBA of .303 in the previous 30 days while giving up just 7.6% of walks.

He’ll take on a Red Sox lineup that has struck out 25.5% of the time against righties in that same stretch.

They’ve got five batters striking out at least 23.1% of the time and four players striking out at least 27.9% of the time.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox projected lineup has also hit a .164 ISO and wOBA of .300. Look for Glasnow to throw a quality start and earn at least eight strikeouts in a pivotal game for the Rays.

Tampa Bay will make the playoffs, but they’re fighting the Orioles for the AL East. Every game counts right now.

Jordan Westburg Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)

Jordan Westburg is a right-handed slugger in the Orioles lineup, hitting a .250 ISO and wOBA of .470 against his last 19 lefties.

Westburg has limited strikeouts to 21.1% and has hit 50% of hard contact in those 19 at-bats.

He’ll take on Patrick Corbin of the Nationals tonight. The lefty has allowed a .225 ISO and wOBA of .366 to his last 91 righties. He’s also earned just 14.3% of strikeouts against righties in the previous 30 days.

Corbin has given up 33.8% of fly balls and 42.3% of hard contact. He also has earned below 20% of whiffs and has 8.6% of swinging strikes against righties in the last 30 days.

Westburg has a lot of potential tonight.

Marcus Semien Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)

Marcus Semien has hit a .333 ISO and wOBA of .406 against his last 87 righties. He’s also struck out only 14.9% of the time while hitting 43.1% of fly balls and line drives.

He’ll face Griffin Canning of the Angels. Canning is a righty, earning 29.8% of strikeouts against right-handed batters. However, Semien is hard to strike out.

If Canning doesn’t earn strikeouts, he gives up much power. Righties have hit a .273 ISO and wOBA of .373 against Canning over the last month, despite him earning nearly 30% of strikeouts.

Canning has allowed 46.7% of fly balls and 66.7% of hard contact to his last 47 righties. His barrel percentage is nearing 17% against righties.

Therefore, I’m predicting Semien to have a big day as the Rangers look to hang on in the AL West.
