MLB Player Prop Bet Odds & Picks: Wednesday (Astros vs. Rangers)
Weâre back with ALCS Game 3 in the MLB Postseason.
Despite being the road team in both games, the Rangers have taken a 2-0 lead against the Astros. Now, the Rangers will head home and try to earn two more wins to grab a World Series berth.
Theyâll pitch Max Scherzer, who hasnât thrown in a Major League game since Sept. 12. Weâll see how that works out for the veteran righty.
Here are three ALCS Game 3 props to consider for tonightâs big game.

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Corey Seager Over 1.5 Total Bases (-120)
Cristian Javier will take the hill for the Astros in Game 3 of the ALCS. Heâs a right-handed thrower who allowed a .194 ISO and wOBA of .353 to 387 lefties this season.
Javier has only given up a .048 ISO and wOBA of .259 to his last 51 lefties. However, heâs also induced just 29.2% of ground balls, with 41.7% of fly balls against lefties over the previous month.
Javier will either earn strikeouts, give up walks or allow hard contact in the air.
Corey Seager has hit a .211 ISO and wOBA of .369 against his last 66 righties. Heâs also struck out just 13.6% of the time. Therefore, the chances that Seager strikes out are slim. The hard contact in the air is more likely.
Evan Carter Over 1.5 Total Bases (+150)
Evan Carter is another lefty with lots of potential. The rookie has smacked a .500 ISO and wOBA of .560 against his last 58 righties. Carter, like Seager, has struck out at a low rate and has hit 63.9% of hard contact against righties in the previous month.
Heâll take on Javier, who has given up 35.3% of fly balls this season to lefties. Javier has also induced only 30.9% of ground balls against lefties while earning 8.7% of swinging strikes.
Javierâs BABIP was .307 against lefties this season. Itâs also a .292 over the last 30 days. Thatâs a solid number for lefties against a pitcher like Javier. Take a chance on Carter to earn at least two total bases.
Yordan Alvarez Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)
We havenât seen Max Scherzer pitch in five weeks. But this season, he wasnât at his best. The right-hander allowed a .174 ISO and wOBA of .312 to 324 lefties this season. He also gave up more fly balls than ground balls to lefties, just like Javier.
Yordan Alvarez has been the hottest hitter in the Astrosâ lineup, especially from the left side. Heâs hit a .522 ISO and wOBA of .502 against his last 51 righties. Alvarez has hit 50% of fly balls and 50% of line drive while hitting 62.5% of hard contact and a 28.1% barrel percentage.
Scherzer has his innings where he just randomly falters and lets up bombs. Alvarez will be right in the middle of that.
