Correa has excelled against southpaws in 2022. He’s posted a 149 wRC+ along with a .200 ISO and 43.8% fly-ball rate against lefties.
On the mound for the Yankees is Nestor Cortes. Cortes is making his first start since coming off the IL with a groin strain. Cortes is 9-4 with a 2.68 ERA and has shown signs of brilliance in 2022, but his weakness is right-handed bats. Right-handed hitters have recorded a 48.4% fly-ball rate and 1.22 HR/9 vs Cortes this season, and a .262 batting average.
