Monday's Best MLB Player Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Tarik Skubal Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-145)

It was not a great start to the season for Tarik Skubal, as he allowed seven earned runs in his first 10.2 innings. He got back to Cy Young form against the Yankees, who had been swinging a hot bat. In that start, he went six scoreless innings, allowing four hits and striking out batters. Skubal was much better with his location in that start and got more movement that tailed out of the zone.

Skubal should continue that against the Brewers, and we should see another high-strikeout performance from a team that has struck out the most against left-handers this season (56).

Bobby Witt Jr. 2+ Total Bases (-125)

Bobby Witt Jr. established himself as a bona fide superstar last season, winning the batting title and finishing second in American League MVP voting.

Witt faces the team featuring the player who beat him for MVP, as the Royals go up against Aaron Judge and the Yankees. Witt has gone over this prop in six of his last nine games and faces Carlos Carrasco, whom he's 2-for-3 lifetime against.

Paul Skenes Over 1.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+105)

Paul Skenes might be human. We've taken for granted how fantastic he has been to start his career, but even some of the best have bad days. Skenes is coming off the worst start of his short career, allowing five earned runs in a loss to the Cardinals.

Skenes is still one of the best in the game right now, and even in that start, he still struck out seven. He's facing the Nationals, who will likely not be playoff contenders, but they may not be as bad as in previous seasons.

Washington’s offense has been slightly above average in some spots, including 11th in a hard-hit and barrel percentage. Skenes might not give up five runs like the last game, but he might get touched up a little.
