Top MLB Player Props Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (9/10)

All 30 teams are set to take the field on this stacked Saturday in sports, starting with the Rays and Yankees squaring off in the Bronx at 1:05 p.m. ET. A couple of other notable matchups on today’s 15-game slate include the Guardians and Twins battling it out for A.L. Central superiority while the Braves and Mariners go toe-to-toe in Seattle.

Below I’ve listed my top 3 player props for today’s MLB action.

Oswaldo Cabrera O/U 1.5 Total Bases

The Rays picked up a 4-2 win last night in the Bronx and, in turn, narrowed the gap to just 3.5 games between themselves and the Yankees in the East. They’ll look to keep it rolling this afternoon as they turn to Corey Kluber to handle the starting pitching responsibilities. The Yankees counter with Jameson Taillon in this divisional clash set for 1:05 p.m. ET from Yankee Stadium.

Oswaldo Cabrera has been getting plenty of playing time recently due to injuries and other circumstances. The 23-year-old util-man is hitting just .187 on the year with no long balls and four RBI over 21 games and 75 at-bats. Cabrera also owns a .478 OPS, which is not very good.

He’s running into Corey Kluber this afternoon, and he’s been the Yankees’ kryptonite this year. The right-hander has faced the Bombers in four starts and posted a 1.08 ERA and 0.60 WHIP, and they’re hitting just .149 against him. As for Cabrera specifically, he’s 0-6 (.000) against Kluber with three punchouts. Let’s roll with the under on his total base number today. If you’re able to find it, I’d green light the under on 0.5 TBs to knock down the juice and maybe even get a plus-money payout.

Bet: Oswaldo Cabrera Under 1.5 Total Bases (-180 via DraftKings)

Taylor Walls O/U 0.5 Total Bases

Keeping it in the same game and flipping over to the Rays, I’m going to take the under on Taylor Walls’s total bases this afternoon. Like Cabrera, he’s another young player trying to find his footing.

I’ll keep this one brief as he may not even get in the game, considering Wander Franco was back at shortstop last night for the Rays. Walls is hitting just .176 with an OPS of .549 this year, and he’s 0-2 with a strikeout against Jameson Taillon. If, for some reason, he makes his way into the game, I can see Walls going hitless.

Bet: Taylor Walls Under 0.5 Total Bases (+115 via DraftKings)

Jose Ramirez O/U 1.5 Total Bases

Cleveland won last night’s series opener in the Twin Cities and extended their divisional lead to 2.5 games over Minnesota. They’ll send Triston McKenzie to the bump tonight while the Twins counter with Chris Archer in this divisional showdown set for 7:15 p.m. ET from Target Field.

Archer comes into this game at just 2-7 on the season with a 4.47 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 24 starts. The right-hander is coming off of a decent outing against the Yankees, where he limited them to a pair of earned runs on four hits and two walks over 5.0 innings of work. The Twins dropped the game 5-2 and are now just 1-9 over Archer’s last nine starts.

As for the head-to-head matchups, Archer has limited Cleveland to just 8-33 (.242) in his career. However, six of those hits have come from Jose Ramirez. The star third baseman is 6-14 (.429) against Archer, with a home run and two doubles. Archer may suppress the majority of the Guardians lineup today, but I like for JoRam to collect at least two total bases.

Bet: Jose Ramirez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130 via DraftKings)
