MLB Player To Hit A Home Run Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions (9/6)

Who has a chance to go yard tonight in MLB, and what values are the books hanging out there for baseball bettors to take advantage of?

Here are my best bets to hit a home run today, Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Wednesday’s Best Player to Hit a Home Run Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Julio Rodriguez (+265) & Cal Raleigh (+245

We are going to take advantage of a hot Mariners lineup.

Just two weeks ago, the Seattle Mariners were considered one of the hottest teams in baseball, winning 12 of 13 games. Now Seattle has lost three straight games and four of their last five games. Despite going through a small losing skid, they still score runs at a high level. Over their past 10 games, they have scored 5.1 runs per game.

Today, they face rookie pitcher Lyon Richardson. In three starts, Richardson is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA. Richardson has allowed three home runs in his three starts and has a HardHit% of 44%, the fifth-highest among today’s starters.

Julio Rodriguez has been the ringleader of this offense over the past 30 days. In August, Rodriguez batted .429 with seven HRs and 30 RBI. He has six HRs over his last eight games. It’s safe to say he is seeing the ball extremely well, and we are looking to take advantage.

Cal Raleigh has been one of the best bats for the Mariners against RHP. He has 22 HRs against righties, tied with “J-Rod” for the team lead, and has the third-best ISO (.249).

Pete Alonso (+300)

Last month, we caught lightning in a bottle and cashed in on Pete Alonso hitting an HR in three straight games against the Cubs. We are looking to do the same again today against the Nationals.

Alonso has hit a HR in back-to-back games, including two on Sunday. Today, he faced right-hander Joan Adon. Alonso is 1 for 5 with one home run in his career against Adon.

The 25-year-old Adon is making his sixth start for the Nationals today. Over his previous five starts, he is 2-1 with a 5.90 ERA while allowing three home runs. His HardHit% of 45.5 % is the highest among today’s starters, so we should see a few dingers from the Mets’ offense. Let’s hope Alonso is one of them.

Ronald Acuna Jr. (+330) & Matt Olson (+235)

Dakota Hudson has done an excellent job since stepping into the rotation for the Cardinals. In six starts, Hudson is 4-1 with a 4.76 ERA.

While it’s not his fault, Hudson hasn’t faced a lineup like the Braves. Of the six teams he has faced, only three (Phillies, Rays, Twins) have ranked in the top-10 in wRC+. Hudson has allowed at least three earned runs and one HR in each of those starts.

We may see Hudson’s worst start of the year this afternoon.
