To start our HR props for Wednesday, May 3rd, we have two sets of teammates that smash left-handed pitchers.

Wednesday’s Best To Hit A Home Run Prop Bets

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook

Sean Murphy (+475) & Austin Riley (+360)

When it comes to facing left-handed pitchers, the Atlanta Braves are one of the best. They rank 3rd in ISO, 3rd in wOBA, and 5th in wRC+. Two guys leading the charge for the Braves are Sean Murphy and Austin Riley. Murphy and Riley, who rank in the top 30 in ISO, had each hit three home runs this season against LHP.

Marlins pitcher Braxton Garrett has done a nice job limiting the long ball early this season. Over five starts, he only has given up one homer. In his last outing, he went up against the Atlanta Braves, going three innings, giving up one hit and 0 earned runs. Usually, it doesn’t fare well when the pitchers face the same team back-to-back.

I look for the Braves to jump on Garrett early and often in today’s rematch.

Pete Alonso (Game 1) (+390) & Francisco Lindor (Game 1) (+475)

While the New York Mets aren’t as good against lefties as the Braves are, they have Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor, who are as good as anyone when a lefty is on the mound.

Alonso ranks inside the top 15 in SLG%, ISO, wOBA, and wRC+ vs. southpaws. The Polar Bear has 11 home runs on the season, which is tied for the most in the MLB, and nearly half (5) of them have been of LHP. His SLG% jumps from .468 to .750 when he sees a lefty on the mound.

AS for Lindor, the advanced analytics aren’t as high as his teammate, but three of his four home runs have been against lefties, and his SLG% jumps from .357 to .568.

Jose Ramirez (+500)

Jose Ramirez has quietly started to heat up, hitting .439 over his last seven games. The power numbers have avoided Ramirez so far this season, but with how good he is at the plate, it is only a matter of time before we see a power surge. Today he has a nice matchup with Yankees starter Clark Schmidt. JRam is 3 for 4 with one double and two RBI against Schmidt in his career.

Let’s hope for the power surge to start tonight.
