MLB Player To Hit A Home Run Prop Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (6/28)

Who has a chance to go yard tonight in MLB, and what values are the books hanging out there for baseball bettors to take advantage of?

Here are my best bets to hit a home run today, Wednesday, June 28.

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Adley Rutschman (+550) & Anthony Santander (+300)

As I mentioned in today’s YRFI write-up, it’s time we start thinking about fading Luke Weaver every chance we get. Taking a few HR Props against him is another way to fade him. Among starting pitchers with at least 60 innings pitched, Weaver has the fourth-highest ERA (6.86) and the third-highest HR/9 (2.02) in the MLB.

There are many options on the Orioles team, but with +550 odds on Adley Rutschman, I couldn’t pass that up, especially since he leads the team with eight HRs at Camden yards.

As for Anthony Santander, he leads the O’s in HRs (11) against RHP and seems to be more comfortable batting from the left side of the plate.

Teoscar Hernandez (+275)

When you give out HR props, it is mandatory that you find at least one batter going against Patrick Corbin. This is a matchup made in HR heaven. Corbin struggles on the road (2-4 6.34 ERA), giving up 11 of his 15 HRs away from Nationals Park, 14 coming off the bats of right-handed hitters.

Teoscar Hernandez leads the team in HRs with six and ISO (.288) against left-handed pitchers. Not only does he top his team, but he has the 24th-highest ISO against LHP in all of MLB.

Josh Jung (+350) & Adolis Garcia (+255)

Detroit Tigers starter Joey Wentz has an HR/9 of 1.88, the seventh-highest in the MLB among starters with at least 60 IPs.

Texas has two hitters in the middle of their lineup that feast off left-handed pitching.

Adolis Garcia thrives at home, hitting 13 of his 19 HRs at Globe Life Field. Four of them have come against LHP, the second-most on the team. He has had an HR in both games in this series, one already off an LHP. Let’s see if he stays hot and gets a third in as many days.

As for Josh Jung, he is one of the best against lefties. He has an ISO of .307, the 18th-highest in MLB. Jung has already hit six HR against Southpaws this season. That tops on the Rangers’ roster and is tied for the fifth-most in the league.
