Another sweaty, humid, New England Summer week in the books, and we're back looking to hit on some more MLB picks. Last week concluded with another 2-1 showing, yet it was the pick I was confident in the most that let me down. Paul Skenes posted his lowest strikeout total as a Major Leaguer since his third career start against the Giants back in late May. He was able to punch out just four Diamondbacks last Sunday, well short of the 7.0 mark we needed him to hit.
On a positive note, our other two picks came through including Austin Hedges failing to record more than 0.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs, and Jarren Duran continuing to rake and decimating his own 1.5 total base line.
We are now rapidly approaching my 2023 total in terms of overall wins (66), and we are not yet halfway through August. I feel confident that we can continue this improved pace from now through the 2024 postseason. Let's dive in.
