Last Sunday resulted in some adversity, and it was a very unusual finish given how well we have performed to this point. Going 0-3 is a tough look, and none of my picks were particularly close. Tanner Bibee was unable to secure six punchouts against the Twins and James Wood came nowhere close to his expected fantasy line. Chris Bassitt also ended up getting rocked by Oakland, of all teams, in the first inning, which sunk us from the get-go.
I will call last Sunday an anomaly, but also a reminder of how the sports gambling landscape can play out on any given day. As the old cliché goes, you win some, you lose some. All we can do now for this mid-August weekend is try to get back to winning some.
