MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions: Tuesday (6/6)

After a light slate of games on Monday, all 30 teams are in action on Tuesday. As we look through the schedule, it continues to make sense to back the pitcher facing the Twins. In addition, we have two total bases plays for batters that are in minor slumps.

Tuesday’s Best PrizePicks Player Predictions

Here are the best PrizePicks plays for Tuesday, June 6th's MLB action.

This Season: 38-42

Zach Eflin Over 5.5 Strikeouts

Eflin has been all over the place when it comes to recorded strikeouts this season. Two starts ago, he went 7.0 innings, but he didn't throw a single strikeout. That came after striking out at least eight in three of his previous four games.

While he has been inconsistent, the Minnesota Twins have been very consistent when it comes to striking out. They have a league-high 613 strikeouts this season, which is 30 more than the second-highest team. Eflin has 57 strikeouts in 60.0 innings this season. He has also pitched at least 6.0 innings in six consecutive starts. If he does that again tonight, then he will go over this number easily.

Anthony Rizzo Over 0.5 Total Bases

Rizzo has never recorded a hit against White Sox starter Lucas Giolito. In 10 plate appearances, he is 0-6 with two strikeouts, though he has walked four times. He is coming off a bad series against the Dodgers, where he managed to go just 1-11. So why take the over?

Because Rizzo is still the leader in batting average on the Yankees. He is batting .293 on the season, and he is facing a pitcher who has allowed 65 hits this season. Gioito walks a lot of batters, so you could consider taking Rizzo's hitter fantasy score over, but if we just need a single, we think that this play is an absolute steal.

Max Muncy Over 1.5 Total Bases

Muncy is betting just .203 on the season, and he has just one hit in his last four games. But he does have a decent matchup against the Reds tonight.

Muncy is 4-13 in his career against Reds' starter Luke Weaver, and he has one double and one home run. Based on what Muncy has been doing, it feels like oddsmakers are giving away free money on his under. That just doesn't happen. You could consider taking his fantasy score over, but we don't feel that Muncy walks enough to warrant that.
