MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Monday (10/14)

The New York Mets were clobbered by the Los Angeles Dodgers last night in Game 1 of the NLCS, losing 9-0. They’ll still look to even things up in Game 2 of the NLCS today.

Meanwhile, the New York Yankees will take on the Cleveland Guardians in Game 1 of the ALCS. We’ll see which team can get off on the right foot.

I’ve added same-game parlays for both matchups tonight. Take a look below!

New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The New York Mets will send out Sean Manaea for Game 2 of the NLCS. Manaea has been excellent this season. However, he recently had some hiccups against lefties as a left-handed pitcher.

Over the last month, Manaea has allowed a .222 ISO and wOBA of .395 to his previous 28 lefties. He’s also given up nearly 68% of hard contact and has only added 10.6% of swinging strikes against lefties.

Los Angeles will likely only have two lefties in the lineup. But these two lefties are super powerful. Shohei Ohtani has smashed a .280 ISO and wOBA of .497 against his last 29 lefties, and Freddie Freeman has earned a .286 ISO and wOBA of .403 against his last 23 lefties.

These two are in line for big days against Manaea.

On the other hand, the Dodgers are rolling with a bullpen game. Francisco Lindor will face many different pitchers, likely from the left and right sides of the plate. Lindor has been the most consistent Mets hitter against both sides of the plate over the last 30 days, so we’ll ride with him to earn at least two total bases in today’s game.

Parlay Odds: +689

Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees

Cleveland will start the ALCS with Alex Cobb on the mound. Cobb is a right-handed pitcher who has only faced 74 batters this season and 12 in the last month. It’s not the biggest sample size. However, against his previous four righties, he’s allowed a .333 ISO.

Aaron Judge is the most feared right-handed batter in the MLB. He’s socked a .500 ISO and wOBA of .511 against his last 56 righties. So we’ll take him to add at least two total bases tonight.

On the other hand, Carlos Rodon will pitch for the Yankees. The lefty has allowed a .216 ISO and wOBA of .339 to righties this season and has given up a .233 ISO and wOBA of .377 to his last 68 righties faced.

Jose Ramirez and Lane Thomas have easily been Cleveland’s best hitters against lefties over the last 30 days. Ramirez has smashed a .545 ISO and wOBA of .484, and Thomas has hit a .467 ISO and wOBA of .496. Both have home runs in the postseason already and will have great matchups against Rodon, especially since neither strikes out at a high rate against lefties.
