There was plenty of offense in yesterday’s National League Division Series (NLDS) Game 2 matchups. We’ll see if today’s American League Division Series (ALDS) Game 2 matchups produce the same results.

Here are two same-game parlays (SGPs) to consider for today’s American League playoffs action.

Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Guardians

We’ll likely have a pitching duel in the first game of today’s slate. The Tigers will pitch Tarik Skubal, the left-handed ace pitcher who is in line to win the American League Cy Young this season.

Skubal has struck out more than 29% of batters over the last 30 days and has held his last 89 batters to a .035 ISO and wOBA of .175.

He’s also earned more than 29% of whiffs and has added more than 16% of swinging strikes over the last month. Skubal is in line to face a Guardians lineup that has struck out nearly 25% of the time against lefties in the previous 30 days. Five Guardians batters have struck out more than 21% of the time against lefties in the last month. Look for Skubal to stack up the strikeouts in this game.

On the other hand, former Tigers lefty Matthew Boyd will take the hill. He’s added 34.5% of strikeouts against his last 58 batters, including 36.5% against righties.

Boyd will face a Tigers lineup with five righties in it. Those five righties have struck out 29.1% of the time. Meanwhile, the four lefties have combined to strike out 34.6% of the time. With about seven targets in the starting lineup, Boyd should be able to reach at least five strikeouts.

That said, Riley Greene of the Tigers has hit a .242 ISO against his last 35 lefties. The left-handed power slugger will face Boyd, who has allowed an ISO of .214 to 31 lefties this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if Greene pulls one down the line. Grab Greene to add at least one hit to conclude this parlay.

Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees

The Royals will pitch Cole Ragans tonight. The filthy left-hander has held his last 95 batters to a .083 ISO and wOBA of .240. But something has to give.

Ragans has allowed a .368 wOBA to his last 37 lefties and has allowed more fly balls than ground balls to his previous 58 righties.

We’ll start with Juan Soto. Soto has launched a .250 ISO and wOBA of .529 with 5% of strikeouts against his last 20 lefties. He’ll take on Ragans, who has only added 7.3% of swinging strikes against his last 37 lefties. Ragans isn’t earning a high strikeout rate against lefties and Soto is very good at putting the ball in play. That should result in a couple of bases tonight.

Meanwhile, Judge is a right-handed hitter, but he’s also jacked a .375 ISO and wOBA of .495 against his last 13 lefties. Judge is primarily a fly ball hitter against lefties and will have the opportunity to muscle an extra-base hit against Ragans, who continues to give up a high rate of fly balls to righties this season.

Finally, Carlos Rodon will get the call for the Yankees. He’s facing a Royals lineup that has hit a .045 ISO and wOBA of .294 with 22.1% of strikeouts over the last 30 days against lefties. Rodon could get through at least six innings if not more. He’s also got five targets in the Royals lineup that have struck out at least 24% of the time over the last month against lefties.

He should be able to accumulate at least six strikeouts to finish off this parlay.

Parlay Odds: +795
