The Texas Rangers earned Game 1 at home. However, the Arizona Diamondbacks escaped with Game 2 of the World Series. Now the series is tied, and the Diamondbacks have three home games before returning to Texas.

Does Arizona have the edge in tonight’s Game 3 matchup at home?

Here are a couple same-game parlays to consider for Game 3 of the World Series.

Texas Rangers at Arizona Diamondbacks

  • Leg 1: Corbin Carroll Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110)
  • Leg 2: Ketel Marte Over 1.5 Total Bases  (+100)
  • Leg 3: Alek Thomas Over .5 Hits (-200)

Max Scherzer will take the hill for the Rangers tonight. He’s a veteran righty who has allowed a .370 ISO and wOBA of .467 over his last 30 batters since making his 2023 playoffs debut two games ago.

Scherzer has allowed a .286 ISO and wOBA of .337 to his last nine lefties. He’s also struck out just 11.1% of lefties in the previous month.

Corbin Carroll has smashed a .273 ISO and wOBA of .388 against his last 41 righties, and he’s struck out only 19.5% of the time against righties. Meanwhile, Ketel Marte has also hit an ISO of .233 with a wOBA of .388. His strikeout rate is a bit higher, but Scherzer’s strikeout rate is usually lower against lefties than righties.

Finally, Alek Thomas needs one hit for this parlay. He’s knocked a .300 ISO and wOBA of .367 against his last 45 righties. He’s also one of three batters that have hit over 27% of line drives against righties in the previous 30 days.

On the other hand, if you’re rooting for the Rangers, we’ve got a Texas parlay. They’ll take on Brandon Pfaadt of the Diamondbacks, who has been dominant in the postseason as a rookie.

Pfaadt has struck out 33.3% of batters in the last month. However, that rate will dip against the Rangers. Texas’ projected lineup has struck out 20.8% of the time, with only two batters striking out more than 22.2% of the time against righties in the last 30 days.

Pfaadt typically doesn’t throw a high amount of pitches. The Rangers will see the bullpen for half the game. However, against righties, he’s allowed a .229 ISO and wOBA of .321 over the last 30 days. Pfaadt has also given up 47.8% of fly balls, with only 34.8% of ground balls in the previous month.

Adolis Garcia is the hottest hitter on the planet right now. He’s also a righty who could do well against Pfaadt. He’s smacked a .431 ISO and wOBA of .498 against his last 63 righties.

Josh Jung, another rookie playing at a high level, is a righty who has hit a .250 ISO and wOBA of .372 against his last 59 righties. Those two righties have a lot of potential against Pfaadt tonight.
