MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (7/28)
Full Friday slate as the Hot Stove heats up with several trades involving big names over the last few days. Lucas Giolito is making his Angelsâ debut today on the mound. Letâs dive into the slate to find our favorite Same Game Parlays.
Fridayâs Best MLB Same Game Parlays
New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles
Yankees -1.5 (+130) and o5.5 Runs (+170)
Right off the bat, I know that the Yankeesâ offense has struggled mightily. However, it has been suggested and reported that Aaron Judge could return today. When he has been in the lineup, the Yankees have looked like a completely different team. Their offense plays better, and he may have some of the most impressive with or without splits in baseball. If he plays, it could be the jolt this team needs. Gerrit Cole has been fantastic on the mound and should be able to keep the great numbers going and limit this Baltimore offense.
Anthony Rizzo 2+ TBs (+150)
Rizzo has been pretty terrible of late, but he had a fantastic start to his season, and when playing in Baltimore, you prefer left-handed bats to right-handed ones. He was great early in the season when playing with Judge, so hopefully, he gets that spark back and can be a force in the middle of this Yankee order again.
Combined Odds: +475
Los Angeles Angels at Toronto Blue Jays
Angels ML (+160) and 04.5 Runs (+170)
I am 100% buying into narratives with these choices so far today, but with the Angelsâ big trade acquisition making his debut for the team today, letâs bet on them to get an emotional win. On paper, letâs look at the matchup a bit deeper. Kevin Gausman is a legit CY Young favorite, but after some injury concerns, he had a weird outing with a big velo reduction last week. If he isnât healthy, there is enough pop in this Angelsâ lineup to do some serious damage against him. Giolito has been solid if not elite, this season, but I think he comes out feeling great in this one and limits the Blue Jaysâ offense.
Shohei Ohtani 2+ TBs (+110)
I have bet the Angels enough to know that Ohtani does not typically have plus odds on his TB props. This is a rare occurrence, and he is just too special not to add it to our SGP.
Combined Odds: +425
Tampa Bay Rays at Houston Astros
Rays -1.5 (+140) and 04.5 Runs (+105)
This is an incredibly weird game to bet, and to be honest, I love weird games. The Raysâ offense was elite at the beginning of the season and has since been struggling a ton. Cristian Javier had an elite season in 2022 with a fantastic start to 2023 and has seemingly forgotten how to pitch. In this one, we are betting on the team with the pitcher who is currently performing much better in Shane McClanahan. Shane has been great again this season, and while the Astrosâ offense has been performing well as of late, he should be able to continue his success. Javier is really struggling with the zone, and the Rays have a patient offense that is willing to take walks and can get Javier into bad counts where he is forced to use his fastball. This could be another blow-up spot for the struggling Astrosâ righty.
Jose Siri 2+ TBs (+190)
While Siri, like many of the Rays, got off to a roaring start, it has cooled off a bit lately. However, he still does a few things well, and one of them is hitting fastballs. He is slugging almost 0.600 0n fastballs, and while that might not be elite around the league, it is still in the upper percentiles and around guys like Juan Soto. Javier could get into trouble and be forced to use his fastball, which could mean great things for Siri.
Combined Odds: +500
