MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (4/10)
Not only do we have a huge slate in the MLB today, but we also get 14 new series to start the week.
There are plenty of exciting matchups, including the Mets vs. Padres. New York will pitch Max Scherzer, while the Padres will send out Yu Darvish.
Iâve got a same-game parlay for that game and another one on tonightâs schedule. Letâs make some money.
Mondayâs Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets
Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook
San Diego Padres vs. New York Mets
- Leg 1: Yu Darvish Under 5.5 Kâs (-112)
- Leg 2: Max Scherzer Under 7.5 Kâs (-154)
- Leg 3: Juan Soto Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135)
Yu Darvish will take the mound for the Padres tonight. Heâs holding a 1.80 ERA through one start this season. In that one start, he earned just three strikeouts in five innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Dating back to last season, Darvish has struck out 25% of batters but the Mets have struck out 19.2% of the time with their projected lineup since last season.
The only real targets for Darvish are the guys at the bottom of the order.
Meanwhile, Max Scherzer has a higher rate of strikeouts with 29.3%. However, heâs facing a Padres lineup that has collectively struck out 21.3% of the time as a projected lineup dating back to last year. There are more targets for Scherzer, but heâs only got three targets that strike out over 23% of the time against righties.
The veteran right-hander has also allowed a .192 ISO to his last 296 lefties. Juan Soto has a .248 ISOS and wOBA of .399 against righties. Heâs walked over 20% of the time against righties and has struck out only 13.6% of the time. If anyone can consistently hit Scherzer, itâs Soto.
Parlay Odds: +602
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Colorado Rockies
- Leg 1: Nolan Arenado Over 1.5 Total Bases (-140)
- Leg 2: Paul Goldschmidt Over 1.5 Total Bases (-145)
- Leg 3: Kris Bryant Over 1.5 Total Bases (-140)
The Rockies and Cardinals have a total sitting at 11.5 in Coors Field tonight. The big bats should come alive against German Marquez and Steven Matz.
Marquez has a 4.67 xFIP with the Rockies dating back to last year. Heâs also allowed a high ISO to lefties and righties over his last couple of seasons. Paul Goldschmidt is hitting a .216 ISO and wOBA of .374 in his previous 546 plate appearances against righties.
Meanwhile, Nolan Arenado has hit a .197 ISO and wOBA of .368 against righties while striking out just 12.5% of the time over his last 530 righties faced. Both of those power bats should have success against Marquez.
On the other hand, Steven Matz has watched righties hit a .335 wOBA and ISO of .205 in his last 180 plate appearances against righties. Kris Bryant is a left-handed killer, earning a .243 ISO and wOBA of .388 in his previous 81 plate appearances against lefties.
Parlay Odds: +446
