MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (4/17)

We’ve got some new matchups beginning tonight in the MLB. There’s even a game at 11:10 am EST in Boston!

While I won’t be betting on that matchup, I’ve still wagered on multiple same-game parlays for the later ones. Let’s start the week off with a bang.

Monday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Houston Astros

  • Leg 1: Kevin Gausman 6+ Strikeouts (-192)
  • Leg 2: Christian Javier 6+ Strikeouts (-180)
  • Leg 3: Kevin Kiermaier 2+ Total Bases (+200)

Kevin Gausman has been tremendous for the Blue Jays to begin the season. He’s got a 2.85 xFIP with 31.6% of strikeouts on the season. He’s also walked just 3.8% of batters and has earned a high rate of ground balls while keeping line drives low.

The Astros have four batters striking out at least 29.7% of the time against righties this season. Houston has also hit a .125 ISO against righties to begin the year. Gausman should earn plenty of strikeouts and go deep into the game.

Meanwhile, Christian Javier’s strikeout numbers have been a bit low to begin the year for the Astros. He’s added 19.7% of strikeouts but has at least kept walks down. The Blue Jays have six batters in the projected lineup who have struck out at least 22% of the time against righties.

If you combine last year’s and this year’s stats, Javier has struck out 32% of batters. He’s going to earn more strikeouts as the season progresses.

On the other side, Kevin Kiermaier, who should be batting ninth, is hitting a .233 ISO and wOBA of .370 against righties. He’s a sneaky bet to get 2+ total bases.

Parlay Odds: +707

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Seattle Mariners

  • Leg 1: Willy Adames 2+ Total Bases (-125)
  • Leg 2: Rowdy Tellez 2+ Total Bases (+125)
  • Leg 3: Brian Anderson 1+ Hit (-200)

Chris Flexen will take the hill for the Mariners tonight. He’s holding a 6.88 xFIP to begin the year with more walks than strikeouts. Flexen has struck out just 10.9% of batters while walking 12.7%. He’s also allowing over 21% of line drives when balls are batted into play.

Lefties are doing more damage, hitting a .471 wOBA and ISO of .321 against Flexen. But righties still have a .315 wOBA, which could worsen after tonight.

Willy Adames has a .250 ISO and wOBA of .391 against righties to start the year. Rowdy Tellez has hit a .410 ISO and a wOBA of .418 against righties to date. And finally, Brian Anderson has a .225 ISO and wOBA of .384 against righties this season.

Flexen also allows over 38% hard contact and has a BABIP of .333. Good things will happen as long as these power batters on Milwaukee put the ball in play.

Parlay Odds: +478
