MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (4/22)

Today, the MLB schedule features an exciting 11-game slate. The Yankees play a home game against the Athletics at 1:05 p.m. ET, but all other games will start at 6:40 p.m. ET or later.

With 10 games to pick from on the night slate, I’ve added two same-game parlays to my betting portfolio for tonight.

Monday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Miami Marlins @ Atlanta Braves

The Miami Marlins will pitch left-handed pitcher Ryan Weathers. While he’s had some success against lefties, he’s still struggled against righties. Weathers has allowed a .200 ISO and wOBA of .378 to his first 62 batters. Last year, it was more of the same. Weathers gave up a .228 ISO and wOBA of .400 to 193 righties and struck out only 14.5% of batters.

That said, the Braves have some of the most powerful righties in the MLB.

Ronald Acuna Jr. will lead things off for Atlanta. He’s a righty who has hit a .209 ISO and wOBA of .392 against lefties since last year. Austin Riley has smashed a .270 ISO and wOBA of .377. Finally, Marcell Ozuna, who leads the MLB in homers, has a .340 ISO and wOBA of .427 against lefties since last season.

Weathers has much potential, but he’ll likely suffer a significant setback against this group of righties.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ St. Louis Cardinals

The Arizona Diamondbacks will send out right-hander Brandon Pfaadt for tonight’s contest against the Cardinals. He’s added 22.8% of strikeouts and has limited walks to 3%. However, lefties have also slugged a .250 ISO and wOBA of .367 against Pfaadt, with 41.2% of fly balls and just 26.5% of ground balls induced this season.

He’ll face Brendan Donovan at the top of the lineup. Since last season, Donovan has had a .160 ISO and wOBA of .347 against righties, striking out only 15% of the time as a lefty against righties.

Meanwhile, Lars Nootbaar will likely bat third. He’s another lefty who has hit a .188 ISO and wOBA of .369 against righties since last season. Nootbar has also kept strikeouts down to 16.4% against righties.

On the other hand, the Cardinals will pitch Lance Lynn. He’s a veteran righty who has only struck out 21.6% of batters this season. He’ll match up against a Diamondbacks projected lineup that has struck out just 19.9% of the time against righties since last season. Eugenio Suarez and Jake McCarthy are the only two strikeout targets in this lineup for Lynn. The rest of the lineup has struck out no more than 21.2% of the time against righties. His Under is appealing to finish out the parlay.
