Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Atlanta Braves

Gavin Stone will take the hill for the Dodgers tonight. Stone pitched one game this season and only lasted four innings after earning one strikeout against the Phillies. He allowed four runs on eight hits in those four innings and also gave up two walks, which gave up a 2.50 WHIP.

Stone had a 7.17 xFIP after that first game and struck out only 4.3% of batters. Righties hit a .486 ISO and wOBA of .222 against Stone in that game.

Ronald Acuna has a .319 ISO and wOBA of .425 against righties over his last 83 plate appearances. Sean Murphy, another righty, has hit a .281 ISO and wOBA of .402 against his last 67 righties. Finally, Marcell Ozuna has a .257 ISO and wOBA of .412 against righties in his last 41 plate appearances against righties. He’s another batter that can do serious damage against Stone.

If the Phillies had a field day against Stone, the Braves should too.

Detroit Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals

The Tigers will pitch Michael Lorenzen for tonight’s series opener against the Royals. Lorenzen has a 3.44 ERA through six starts this season. However, in 34 innings, he’s only struck out 26 batters. But he’s improving; Lorenzen struck out seven batters in six innings against the Pirates.

Tonight, he’ll take on a Royals lineup that has struck out 25.6% of the time against righties over the last 30 days using the projected lineup. The Royals have six batters striking out at least 24.4% of the time against righties.

On the other hand, Brady Singer will get the call for the Royals tonight. He’s got a 5.49 xFIP over the last 30 days. Lefties are hitting a .443 wOBA and ISO of .278 against him in his last 64 plate appearances against them.

Zach McKinstry should bat leadoff for the Tigers tonight. He’s got a .353 wOBA and has hit 25% of line drives over the last 30 days. Riley Greene, another lefty batting near the top of the order, is hitting a .387 wOBA with 33.9% of line drives hit over the last 30 days. Those two lefties should have some success against Singer.

Both lefties have a BABIP of .320 or better and should continue to hit hard balls against Brady Singer, who just can’t get lefties out right now.

Parlay Odds: +802
