MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (7/31)

We’ve got a solid 10-game slate in the MLB tonight. Most of the time, Mondays can be a bit boring in the MLB. But that won’t be the case tonight.

I’ve got two same-game parlays that I’ll be attacking. You should join in too!

Monday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook

Cleveland Guardians vs. Houston Astros

The Astros have been hitting many extra-base hits against righties over the last month. The team has a combined .248 ISO in the previous 30 days against righties. With the additions of Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez, the Astros are back to being a lethal lineup.

They’ll face Cleveland Guardians pitcher Noah Syndergaard. Syndergaard was just traded from the Dodgers to the Guardians and will make his first start with the team tonight. He’s thrown a .238 ISO and wOBA of .386 against 246 batters this season. Lefties have hit a .271 ISO and wOBA of .388, while righties have slugged a .194 ISO and wOBA of .383.

Therefore, I’ll stack those middle-of-the-order Astros bats. Kyle Tucker has hit a .271 ISO and wOBA of .438 against his last 59 righties. Meanwhile, Alex Bregman has hit a .320 ISO and wOBA of .515 against his last 59 righties.

We don’t have a big sample size from Yordan Alvarez. But he’s already hitting a .571 ISO against righties since returning.

Boston Red Sox vs. Seattle Mariners

Nick Pivetta has struck out 47.5% of batters over the last month. He earns nearly one strikeout against every two batters faced in the previous 30 days.

He’ll take on a Mariners lineup that has struck out 25.5% of the time against righties over the last 30 days. Seattle has six batters striking out at least 228.% of the time against righties and four batters striking out at least 29.3% of the time against righties.

On the other hand, George Kirby will get the start for the Mariners. He’s had a solid season, but lefties have been hitting him hard recently. Kirby has allowed a .278 ISO and wOBA of .370 against his last 40 lefties. He’s allowed 50% of fly balls and has induced only 25% of ground balls against lefties over the previous month.

Therefore, I’ve added in lefties like Jarren Duran and Rafael Devers. Both have hit a high ISO and wOBA against righties over the last 30 days. Duran has a .271 ISO and wOBA of .455 against his last 64 righties, while Devers has a .306 ISO and wOBA of .405 against his last 54 righties.

Duran and Devers have each limited strikeouts to 12.5% or better against righties over the last month against righties. You can expect both batters to put the ball in play in almost every at-bat against righties.
