MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday, September 5 (2022)

As we head into September, that are still some very close races for the division title. All three games today feature at least one team involved in those races, and with just a limited number of games left, every one of them counts.

New York Mets vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

  • Leg 1: Mets -1.5 (-128)
  • Leg 2: Taijuan Walker Over 4.5 strikeouts (-148)
  • Leg 3: Mitch Keller Under 4.5 strikeouts (-154)
  • Leg 4: Francisco Lindor to record 2+ total bases (+100)

Taijun Walker is enjoying a breakout season as he’s one win away from tying his career high. He hasn’t pitched as well in recent starts, but he’s faced the Braves, Yankees, and Dodgers in his last three starts, all excellent offenses. He comes into tonight with a favorable matchup against the Pirates, who are at the bottom in every offensive category this season.

Mitch Keller has been one of the Pirates’ better starters, especially recently, with a 3.19 ERA in his last nine starts. Unfortunately for him, Pittsburgh is just 3-6 in those starts due to a lack of run support.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Kansas City Royals

  • Leg 1: Under 7.5 (-110)
  • Leg 2: Triston McKenzie Over 6.5 strikeouts (-106)
  • Leg 3: Brady Singer Over 4.5 strikeouts (-118)

Brady Singer definitely looks like a rising star in this league and someone to pay attention to in the upcoming years. The Royals don’t win many games, but they do well when Singer is on the mound with a 2.92 ERA in August, and the team went 5-1 in his starts.

On the other side, Triston McKenzie is another young pitcher who will eventually make an impact in this league. He’s been exceptionally sharp recently with a 2.48 ERA in his last five starts. He’s been the victim of lack of run support, as the Guardians have scored one run or fewer in four of those starts.

This will be an exciting pitcher’s duel against two AL Central that hopefully, we’ll witness for a long time.

Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees

  • Leg 1: Yankees ML (-174)
  • Leg 2: Over 8 (-112)
  • Leg 3: Max Kepler to record 2+ total bases (+100)

It’s been a tough year for Chris Archer, and it’s seriously affected the Twins and the fact they’re in a tight race in the AL Central. It’s been a brutal month and a half as he comes in with a 7.08 ERA, and the team is 1-7 in those starts.

Jameson Taillon has been one of the most consistent starters in a challenging season for the Yankees. He’s pitched over five innings and allowed three or fewer runs in four of his last five starts, and his only two losses have come from the Yanks being shutout.

Although Archer does have success against this Yankees roster in the past, his recent struggles make it difficult to favor him, even against a struggling New York lineup.
