Saturday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook.

Pittsburgh Pirates at Washington Nationals (Game 1)

  • Leg 1: Pirates ML (-134)
  • Leg 2: OVER 9 Runs (-115)
  • Leg 3: Luis Garcia 2+ Hits (+140)

The Pirates have been one of the bigger surprises this season, as they sit in first place in the NL Central. The offense has been flashing its power and is fourth in hard-hit percentage and second in extra base-hit percentage. Rich “Not So Over The” Hill enters his 19th season, and although it didn’t start well, he’s won back-to-back starts but hasn’t been lights out, allowing 12 hits and a 3.35 FIP in 11 innings.

It looks to be another season of rebuilding in D.C., as the Nationals come in with the second-worst winning percentage. Overall the hitting has been near the bottom, but they have some impressive numbers against lefties with a .335 BABIP, which is sixth in the league. I don’t know if they have a chance to with Patrick Corbin on the mound, who has been awful in his Washington tenure, and it continues this season; he has a 5.88 ERA.

Total Odds: +684

Atlanta Braves at New York Mets

  • Leg 1: Braves ML (-162)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 7.5  Runs (-110)
  • Leg 3: Spencer Strider UNDER 7.5 Strikeouts (+110)

The rivalry between the Mets and Braves will be one to pay attention to this season as they look like the two favorites in the NL East once again.

The Braves are a power lineup with the third-highest homer percentage of the season. But when you swing big, you miss big, and they are 20th in strikeout percentage. They also present power pitching with Strider, who’s leading the league in strikeout percentage.

He is going against a disciplined Mets lineup that will draw the walk and put the ball in play. They will have Tylor Megill on the mound, and his last two starts have not gone too well, and he has back-to-back losses after allowing seven earned in nine innings.

The Mets’ lineup has a lifetime .340 wOBA, so I don’t expect Strider to shut them down, but Megill could also face some trouble against the Braves lineup.

Total Odds: +548

Chicago Cubs at Miami Marlins

  • Leg 1: Cubs ML (+110)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 9  Runs (-122)
  • Leg 3: OVER 4 Cubs Total Runs (-112)

The Central is filled with surprising teams this year, as the Cubs are another team in contention early on. The Cubs’ offense has proven themselves so far this season, and they’re second in WOBA and third in expected batting average. Caleb Kilian will make his 2023 debut, and he’s a heavy sinker pitcher that tries to induce the ground ball.

The Marlins are currently in contention in NL East, but they had an impressive start last year before they dipped as the season progressed. Edward Cabrera will take the mound, and he has some great stuff with the potential to be a top pitcher if he had better location of his pitches. He will get some swings and misses and can rack up the strikeouts, but he leaves pitches over the plate that get hit hard.

Total Odds: +623
