MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (4/8)
The second of the 2023 season is upon us with many teams playing in their own stadiums for the first time. As is always the case with baseball, there are a number of intriguing betting angles for us to attack.
Today's Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets
All odds via DraftKings Sportsbook
Oakland Athletics vs. Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays remain the last undefeated team in the league. The offense has been good, but for years this team has been built on power pitching, and they are starting the season second in ERA and third in FIP. Jeffrey Springs had a fantastic first start against the Tigers, going six scoreless innings and striking out 12.
No way to sugarcoat it. The Athletics are basically fielding a triple-A team.
Shintaro Fujinamiâs MLB debut went as badly as you think. He had a great first two innings recording six straight outs, but in the third, he imploded and was credited with eight earned.
These two teams could not be more on opposite trends at the moment. Favor the Rays heavily in this game.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Los Angeles Angels
The Blue Jays have taken the momentum of winning the final three against the Royal and used that to take the first game against the Angels. Their offense this season will be the driving force because early on, it seems the pitching has not improved from last year.
Jose Berrios was a flop in his first full season with Toronto, and it's not starting off well this year when he allowed eight earned in his first start.
The Angels have made improvements in the offense, and they are working out with so far sitting at 4-3. Hopefully, this isnât just a great start because fans want to see Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout play meaningful games.
Tyler Anderson will go for Los Angeles, and heâs coming off a great start against Oakland, going six scoreless in the win.
The Halos should be all over the struggling Berrios but donât expect as great of a performance for Anderson. Look for the Angels to win in a high-scoring game

Kansas City Royals vs. San Fransisco Giants
- Leg 1: Royals ML (+120)
- Leg 2: Under 8.5 Runs (-124)
- Leg 3: Salvador Perez to Record 2+ Total Bases (-105)
Kansas City snapped its three-game losing streak on Friday by grabbing the first win of the series against San Francisco. I still wouldn't expect the Royals to be much better than last season, as they are still last in average, and while the pitching staff has been better, it's not sustainable.
The exception could be Brady Singer. He had a breakout 2022 season with his first winning record and career highs in ERA and quality starts.
The story of the Giants is what could have been. They missed out on big-time offensive talents like Aaron Judge and Carlos Correa, and you're seeing the impact on the lineup. Don't let the stats fool you, they had a couple of big games, but they've also been shut out twice.
Sean Manaea is coming off a disastrous one-and-done season with the Padres with a 4.96 ERA and a -0.3 WAR. In his first appearance this season, he came out of the bullpen, so you have to wonder if this is just a spot start.
I like Singer in this spot to keep the Giants' bats quiet, and the Royals offensively don't need a big game to pull off the win.
