The weather is getting warmer, and we're fully into the MLB season. Let's look at interesting matchups for tonight.

Toronto Blue Jays at Pittsburgh Pirates

  • Leg 1: Pirates +1.5 (-134)
  • Leg 2: OVER 9 Runs (-104)
  • Leg 3: Bryan Reynolds 2+ Total Bases (-130)

The Pirates' magical start to the season is beginning to fade as they've dropped five straight, but this includes a sweep by the Rays. The bats that pushed this team are struggling by hitting just .172 with a .525 OPS during this streak. Johan Oviedo started the season well but is in the middle of a brutal stretch by allowing 12 total runs in his last two starts.

The Blue Jays were just swept by Red Sox but snapped their losing streak with a 4-0 win in the first game of this series. The same problem continues for Toronto — no matter how good the offense is, they can't do enough to support their bad pitching staff. This especially goes for Jose Berrios, who's been struggling for the last couple of years. He's been up and down in this very short season, and you don't know which one you'll get in any given start.

I'm confident this will be a much higher-scoring game and push the parlay toward it.

Minnesota Twins at Cleveland Guardians

  • Leg 1: Guardians Moneyline (-102)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 8 Runs (-114)
  • Leg 3: Logan Allen 6+ Strikeouts (-113)

So far in the AL Central, the Twins are the only team above .500. The bats have provided a ton of pop with the sixth-best home run percentage, and the pitching remains top-notch with the third-best ERA. Sonny Gray leads this rotation and has been nearly unhittable, with a 0.77 ERA and a whiff rate in the 85th percentile.

The Guardians have an identical batting average and on-base percentage as the Twins, but the problem is there's no power to the lineup, and they don't have anyone that can get the big hit. Logan Allen is pitching well to start his MLB career and is 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA.

Allen is a strikeout pitcher going against a team with the third-highest strikeout rate, so I think he will have a good performance. Gray has been great, but the Cleveland lineup has a good history against him. I'm taking the home underdogs to grab the win.

Parlay Odds: +601

Baltimore Orioles at Atlanta Braves

  • Leg 1: Braves -1.5 (-118)
  • Leg 2: OVER 8 Runs (-114)
  • Leg 3: Spencer Strider OVER 8.5 Strikeouts (-116)

The Braves are proving once again to be a team to watch throughout the year. So much talent on both offense and the pitching staff that they should make another run at a title. Spencer Strider is establishing himself as a star in his second year, and he's 4-0 with a 2.57 ERA with a 0.94 WHIP.

Baltimore is cemented as a team that is finally on the rise from all the years of mediocrity. The offense is pushing this team, and they're seventh in batting average and OPS. Unfortunately, they didn't solve the pitching problem, as they are 20th in ERA. Kyle Bradish started the season off well with scoreless starts to begin the year, but he has a 12.86 ERA in his last two starts.

The Braves are 6-0 in Strider's starts this season, Bradish has trouble with power-hitting lineups with a hard-hit rate in the seventh percentile.
