MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (7/22)
The second half of the season is underway, and now it's crunch time. With the trade deadline just a couple of weeks away, this is when teams need to figure out if they're buyers or sellers, and these games can determine that.

Kansas City Royal at New York Yankees
Gerrit Cole is having another tremendous season as the ace of the Yankees. The bizarre part is that he has the wors strikeout and walk rate of his Yankees career. In fact, a lot of his metrics are down from last year, but he's been able to pitch well, with 14 of 20 outings being quality starts.
It was a breakout season in 2022 for Brady Singer, but he couldn't transition that into this year. He has a few quality starts, but he's allowed more hits than innings pitched, his hard hit percentage is in the first percentile, and his expected batting average is in the fifth.
The Yankees need to face a team like the Royals after a rough road trip and they should earn another win.
Parlay Odds: +531
Baltimore Orioles at Tampa Bay Rays
- Leg 1: Rays -1.5 (+115)
- Leg 2: Under 8 Runs (-135)
- Leg 3: Yandy Diaz 2+ Total Bases (-105)
Shane McClanahan is having another great year after a 2022 season that had him in the early Cy Young conversation. The win/loss record and ERA are fantastic, but the metrics are down significantly, including the strikeout rate, from 30.3% last year to 26.2 this year, but it hasn't impacted his overall performance. That includes against the Orioles, against whom he went scoreless and struck out seven in the win earlier this year.
It's been a brutal rookie season for Grayson Rodriguez. He has fantastic stuff with a fastball in the upper 90s and a changeup that gets hitters off balance, but he tends to leave that fastball over the plate, and it gets smashed with a .753 slugging and six home runs allowed.
This should earn the Rays the win and game and give them the 2-1 series advantage heading into Sunday.
Parlay Odds: +631
Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins
- Leg 1: White Sox Moneyline (+120)
- Leg 2: Under 8 Runs (-110)
- Leg 3: Dylan Cease OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (+100)
The start of the season for Dylan Cease was not great, but he has significantly improved, with a 3.20 ERA and 2.86 FIP over his last eight starts. We're seeing better movement on the slider and changeup, and he's now throwing that slider as his primary pitch.
The last two starts for Sonny Gray have been horrendous by allowing 11 earned, 11 hits, and seven walks in 11.2 innings. Location has been a big problem as he isn't hitting his corners, and it's led to some rough outings. The White Sox are fourth in zone-swing percentage this year, so if Gray can't hit his spots, it could be a long day.
Cease has a career 30% strikeout rate against this lineup that ranks last in that category this year. I'll take the Sox to pull out the victory.
Parlay Odds: +702
