We still have some exciting races both for division titles and Wild Card spots. We have two series that could shift both races for the rest of the season.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles

  • Leg 1: Over 8.5 total runs (-118)
  • Leg 2: Cedric Mullins over 2+ total bases (-110)
  • Leg 3: Matt Chapman over 2+ total bases (+150)

From a pitching perspective, it’s been a disaster for Jose Berrios, with a 5.07 ERA, 4.68 FIP, and batters hitting .283 off of him. His saving grace and 10-5 record are mainly due to the Blue Jays' offense, which is giving him 5.87 runs of support per game. He saw a ton of that in his last start against the Orioles in the 8-4 win.

The rookie Kyle Bradish has not been so lucky. He comes in with a slightly lower 5.01 ERA but just a 3-6 record. He has not pitched well against Toronto this season, allowing 11 earned in 14.1 innings, but the O's are 2-1 in those starts.

Two ineffective pitchers will mean we see a ton of offense.

Kansas City Royals vs. Boston Red Sox

  • Leg 1: Royals +1.5 (-156)
  • Leg 2: Rafael Devers over 2+ total bases (+185)
  • Leg 3: Brady Singer over 4.5 strikeouts (-142)

The future of Brady Singer is bright as he's progressively gotten better throughout the season. Since July 3rd, he has just one loss with ten quality starts, and the Royals are 10-3 in those 13 outings.

Rich Hill is trending the other way as he comes in with a few rough starts. Over his last seven outings, he's allowed four or more earned runs in four with a 5.34 ERA.

The Royals' offensive struggles could still be a problem, but Singer should keep them competitive.

Seattle Mariners vs. Los Angeles Angels

  • Leg 1: Mariners ML (-116)
  • Leg 2: Under 7.5 (-120)
  • Leg 3: Mariners first half  ML (+135)

Look at the stats of Shohei Ohtani, and you'll see the Angels could be much worse without him. He's having his best season on the mound with a career-high 12 wins and a 2.55 ERA. He's had some great stretches throughout the season, including the 31 scoreless innings he pitched. He's on another one with a 2.08 ERA in his last seven starts, and has allowed just two earned in two starts against the Mariners.

Seattle's future is bright with two players in the American League Rookie of the Year conversation. Julio Rodriguez will likely win it, but George Kirby has looked great this season. He's been dominant against the Angels this season and has two wins in his last two starts against them.

This should be a fun pitching battle, but ultimately you must favor the Mariners' bats to come through.
