White Sox vs. Yankees MLB Same Game Parlay

The Yankees will try to close out the series with a sweep of the White Sox. They have won seven straight going into today, and everything is clicking for this team. Everyone is contributing in this lineup, and the pitching has been unhittable recently by allowing 1.6 runs in the last five, including two shutouts. Carlos Rodon had a brutal first season in the Bronx, but Year 2 has been a huge turnaround with a 3.31 ERA and nine strikeouts per nine. He credits the turnaround to former Yankee southpaw Andy Pettitte for coaching him in the offseason.

The White Sox had a nice run going into this series, winning six of eight, but it was all over as soon as they played a top-tier team. Chris Flexen had a rough start to the season, but he regrouped with a brief stint in the bullpen and is back in the rotation, pitching much better.

While Flexen has helped his own cause, in seven starts, the White Sox have lost five on the run line, which includes two of the last three. Look for the Yankees’ lineup to keep powering through.

Brewers vs. Astros MLB Same Game Parlay

The Astros are slowly climbing out of the abyss and getting back into contention. Their six-game winning streak was snapped on Saturday, but they have won eight of their last ten. Big credit goes to the offense, who are hitting .288 with .350 OBP in that span. Spencer Arrighetti’s rookie season has been filled with inconsistencies; coming in with -0.6 WAR, he finally got his first MLB win, however, it was against the Athletics.

The Brewers continue to be one of the better power-hitting teams in the league, as their 1.29 home runs per game are third, but they are leading the league at 2.69 over the last three games. They need that power because the pitching has been average, with the exception of a few, especially the rotation. Colin Rea has looked great and has two quality starts over his last three outings. We see that he’s abandoned the sinker being his dominant pitch, and he’s trying to get ahead with the four-seamer before using the breaking ball later in the count.

That could hurt because not only are the Astros a great fastball-hitting team, but they are fourth in first swing rate. The Astros should get this win.
