MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (5/28)

The weather is getting warmer, and we’re fully into the MLB season. Let’s look at interesting matchups for tonight.

Sunday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox

Although the Tigers are under .500, they sit just two games out of first in the American League Central. I don’t know how long they’ll stay in contention because they do not have depth on offense or pitching, as they sit in the bottom ten in batting average and ERA. Eduardo Rodriguez is one of their bright spots as he’s over the 80th percentile in average exit velocity, hard hit percentage, and xERA/xwOBA, but his record is only 4-4, thanks to only 2.22 runs of support per game.

Nothing is going well with the White Sox this year, as they are ten games below .500. This is another team that has not seen any consistency from their offense and pitching in what will be a disappointing season after winning the division with some of these guys. This includes Dylan Cease, who had Cy Young buzz at one point last season, but he’s been inconsistent but has pitched better the last couple of starts.

I’m not putting confidence in either offense with this pitching matchup. I’m taking Chicago because Cease has far better head-to-head numbers against the Tigers’ top hitter than Rodriguez has against the Sox.

Parlay Odds: +564

Houston Astros at Oakland Athletics

The defending champs are getting back into the groove, having won eight of their last ten, and are on the verge of a sweep. Cristian Javier has been great all season, but he’s on a particularly amazing run by winning three straight starts with a 2.00 ERA and opponents hitting .149.

The Athletics losing streak is now at ten and 17 of their last 19. Rookie Luis Medina will get the start, and he hasn’t been effective in any of his four starts. He has allowed multiple walks in each and given up multiple home runs in three of four.

Ride with Houston pulling the brooms out and grabbing the run line.

Parlay Odds: +563

Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves

The Braves need this win to salvage a split in the series, as they’ve dropped the last two. They have the best man to do so in Spencer Strider, and the Phillies lineup has just a .290 slugging percentage and a 38.7 strikeout percentage.

Philadelphia is not any better at avoiding the strikeout this year as they sit 20th in strikeout percentage. Dylan Covey will make the start and was solid in his first appearance with the Phillies after being picked up off waivers, throwing five innings, and allowing one earned. Atlanta is set up for an easy win on Sunday night.

Parlay Odds: +584
