The weather is getting warmer, and we're fully into the MLB season. Let's look at interesting matchups for tonight.

Boston Red Sox at Philadelphia Phillies

The Red Sox seem like they are starting to right the ship. The bullpen had been one of its biggest problems all year, but during their eight-game winning streak, they have a 2.59 ERA. The starting pitching is still struggling, including Tanner Houck. He has incredible movement to his pitches, but they are moving over the plate, and he's allowing a career-worse 42.7% hard-hit rate.

The Phillies went on a nice run last week, but now they're on a six-game losing streak and facing another sweep. Taijuan Walker had dealt with location problems earlier in the year, but it looks like he's been overcompensating, and he got hit hard in his last two starts by allowing three home runs.

The Sox are the better lineup at the moment, and the bullpen is improving, so they can get their brooms out.

Parlay Odds: +641

New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays

The Yankees are doing their best to keep their head above water till they get healthy. The rotation is a mess, but it is still 11th in ERA, and the bullpen remains top-notch. Gerrit Cole has been Cy Young-level so far this year. He's allowed two or fewer runs in all seven of his starts and is above the 80th percentile in xERA/xwOBA, Chase Rate, and xSLG.

The Rays haven't done much wrong this season, and yesterday was the first time they lost after scoring first. Javy Guerra will get his second start this season, but the primary reliever will likely be just an opener. His last start against the Pirates didn't go past the first inning, and he allowed two walks.

Having Cole on the mound is exactly what the Yanks need to get a series win against a division rival.

Parlay Odds: +512

Chicago White Sox at Cincinnati Reds

The fall of the White Sox from last year to now has been massive. The offense and pitching are near the bottom in a lot of surface stats, and it doesn't look better when you see the metrics. Michael Kopech is still looking for his first win of the season, and his biggest problems are walks and home runs. He's given up at least three walks in five of six starts as well as half of the home runs he gave up all of last year.

The Reds aren't ready to be a playoff contender but are showing promise and playing much better than in recent years. Graham Ashcraft is one of those pieces, and he has significantly improved from his 2022 rookie season and has already doubled his WAR.

I'm backing Ashcraft and the Reds to win this series.

Parlay Odds: +498
